Work Text:

“Good to see you, Morax” Neuvillette greeted, the door creaking open.

“I’d rather you didn’t call me that in an area as public as this.” Zhongli chuckled. “But nonetheless, good to see you as well, Monsieur Neuvillette.” Zhongli smiled, moving aside so Neuvillette could walk into the tea house.

“You may refer to me as Neuvillette if you like.” Neuvillette replied, his heels clacking on the floor as him and Zhongli walked to their reserved table.

They both sat down. “How has..retirement been?” Neuvillette asked.

“Please, quiet down. Remember, I work at Hu Tao’s Funeral Parlor.” Zhongli whispered.

“My apologies, but my question still remains. I’d like to know how life is now that you’ve retired you duties as an archon.” Neuvillette persisted, but this time lowering his voice.

Zhongli took a sip of his tea to calm himself down, obviously annoyed. “It is going quite well.”

Neuvillette followed, taking a sip of his tea. “Liyue water..not as fresh as Fontaine water but I suppose it’ll do.” Neuvillette angered Zhongli with his remark, however, Zhongli tried to keep calm but even the geo archon couldn’t ignore the feeling growing in his pants.

Their tea part dragged on for what felt like hours, Neuvillette replying to Zhongli’s every word with flirtatious yet disrespectful comments, trying to get under Zhongli’s skin.

Neuvillette accidentally splashed some of his tea on the floor. Quickly, he grabbed a tissue and bent over to clean the mess he made. “My deepest apologies, Morax.”

Zhongli kicked him under the table and coughed to try and cover Neuvillette’s cry. “AHEM…mistakes happen.” Zhongli replied. (HES TRYNA BE SO NONCHALANT IM CRYING 🥹)

Neuvillette started to get back up to his seat but then glanced in Zhongli’s direction and noticed the hardened muscle in his pants. Neuvillette decided to smack Zhongli’s thigh, before quickly going back to his seat.

Zhongli felt embarrassed as he realized what Neuvillette had just seen. “You look like you’ve just seen a ghost, Mr Zhongli.” Neuvillette teased.

“I apologize but I must go.” Zhongli said, faking his dejection.

“Awe, so soon?” Neuvillette replied.

“Ahem! I must leave, it’s getting late and I have duties to attend to at the Funeral Parlor!” Zhongli stated urgently, standing up and pushing his chair into the table. He left money to cover both of their drink on the table. “Goodbye!” He exclaimed before walking off with much speed.

“Goodbye, Morax.” Neuvillette said under his breath, smiling softly.
