"Thank you, Spawn, for blessing us with this meal."
That was the last coherent thing Two Time said before becoming the drunken mess they were now.
Azure threw an arm over their shoulder, supporting them as they walked back to their room. Each time Two Time stumbled in their steps, he couldn't help but laugh.
Once inside, it wasn't long before Two Time and Azure cuddled up under the covers together. And as their bodies slid against one another's, the pair felt warm - and not just the warmth from each other's bodies, but the warmth that welled up in their chests.
Pure affection.
Two Time snuggled up to Azure, earning a content sigh and gentle tug to their waist. Azure pulled them closer, close enough to where their back was firm against his torso. Pounding against them was his heartbeat, beating faster the closer they got.
"I love y...ou." Their words slurred together, sounding more like sleepy mumbling than an actual sentence.
Azure's chest ached. "I love you too, my Nightshade."
He soothingly stroked his hand up their side, the movement slow and gentle. To which Two Time, of course, melted under his touch, their whole body relaxing in front of him.
The love Azure felt for Two Time was overwhelming—especially with them up on him like this. He wanted nothing more than to kiss their face senseless. So of course, he did. He shifted to press his lips all over their face, no skin left untouched.
"Stahhp...hic...it!" Two Time squirmed away with a goofy, dazed grin on their face.
They didn't try very hard to avoid his attack; they didn't want to. They just giggled and rolled around against him, sloppily dodging his affections.
Which was adorable.
Azure loved his Nightshade.
