I'll always hate you. (abandoned)

Summary:

set like before the killware thing

first time doing slow burn i hope its good

ABANDONED- I honestly started writing this without any idea of where i was going and around when my hyperfixation was switching to block tales.

I know my readers have enjoyed this, but the fact that it hasn't updated in over a month is quite obvious to the fact that I've really lost interest in Die of Death as a whole (and had no idea what to do with the story after chapter 4).

I'm really sorry to people who wanted to see the full story, and I guarantee if I return to this fandom, I'll rewrite it to be better than it currently is

Chapter Text

On the 18th January, at around 5:32 AM, Killdroid opened his ‘eyes’ for the first time. He opened his eyes to be met with a person in white clothing and yellow skin gazing at them in wonder. He tilted his head, trying to register the square face in front of him and the things behind them. A loud cheer arose from behind him, making the robot flinch.

‘‘Hey– Killdroid, you’re fine, look at me…’’ the person reassured, breaking through the overwhelming amount of noise that made him recoil in fear. Killdroid clung to the wall, looking intensely at the ‘S’ on his face. ‘Quiet down, will you?’ the person snapped at the crowd of workers, before turning back to him like nothing had happened. ‘'Hey, Killdroid, no one’s going to hurt you, you don’t need to worry…’’ he said, putting a hand on his shoulder. ‘’I’m Sulfur. You know who you are, yes?’’

‘’[...SULFUR?]’’ he repeated slowly, moving closer to him to inspect him.

Another cheer came from the group of people, as he spoke for the first time. ‘’SHUT IT! GET OUT, NOW!’’ ‘Sulfur’ shouted as the workers shuffled away quickly. ‘‘Anyway…’’ he continued, ‘’Killdroid, do you know why you were created?’’

‘’[KILLDROID?]’’

‘‘Yes, Killdroid.’’

‘‘[WHY… WHY WAS I CREATED?]’’

‘’To protect, Killdroid.’’

‘’[TO PROTECT?]’’

‘‘Yes, Killdroid, to protect. And you’ll do that, won’t you?’’

– – –

Killdroid lay in an alley, blood splattered across his body that painted the ground and walls in red. He glitched as he looked around at criminals with their eyes rolled back into their head, unresponsive. He’d completed his mission, and was yet to receive a new one. His vision was weaker, blurring at the edges. He shook his head, getting up. There were more criminals out there, more people he needed to get rid of. He took a step, but he fell to the ground. His leg was twisted at a horrible angle, probably from one of the people who struggled and kicked as he choked them. That wasn’t important, though. What he needed to do was to leave. To find more people disobeying the law. To find someone, something to do that could fill the emptiness he felt as he looked around him.

He got up once more, ignoring the sparks flying from his leg. He slowly took steps, stumbling slightly. He walked closer to the small light from outside the alleyway, reaching out to grab it…

Before his leg gave out and he tumbled to the floor. The last thing he saw before blacking out was someone running towards him, shouting for help.
