Chapter Text
The truth is, if Orm Marius, before his defeat at the hands of his older brother, had been told that there was a village on the surface where monsters came out at night and killed people, and They eat his insides, and there's no way out. He'd definitely tell you that you have mental problems and that you're saying that to scare him.
But the Orm Marius of today would certainly believe you.
But how did we get here?
~Fishermen's kingdom~
The day the young prince, Two weeks earlier a king, 19-year-old Orm Marius was tried on charges of regicide, war crimes, and attempted murder of the rightful heir to Atlantis, Led by Lady Karshon and the royal family of the Fisher Kingdom, who found him guilty, he was sentenced to spend the rest of his days in a hidden prison in the Kingdom of the Deserters of whom no one knows
But this is what they didn't know: while they were moving the young ex-king to his new home, there were problems
A woman with dark blue hair and two children, aged about five and one, stopped the vehicle after it had already been handed over to the deserters to take Orm to prison. When they stopped the vehicle, the woman I forced my way into the vehicle with the 5-year-old boy right behind me and the one-year-old in my arms
Seeing this, the deserters tried to stop her, but suddenly everything around them changed.
The sandy path they were on became a black, paved road, and the dry desert transformed into a lush, green forest. After following the path a short distance, they encountered a giant tree that forced them to turn back and find the way to the prison.
The reptiles grabbed the woman and the children, forcibly sat them down, and handcuffed them. Meanwhile, the other man turned the vehicle around and tried to find the sandy path they had been on.
But the only thing... What they find is a surface village, isolated from the rest of the world.
It has houses, a café, a mansion, and a playground.
The locals see them and try to stop them, but they continue trying to return to their original destination. They eventually see the same tree again and decide to take a different route, but it leads them back to the village. They continue all afternoon, but nothing changes; they end up in the same place.
Night falls and they continue trying to return. They begin to see people walking along the streets and the road. They try to shoo them away or scare them off, but one of the deserters decides to get out of the vehicle and attack one of them directly, despite the others' protests. The "humans" walked toward the reptile, smiling.
"GET OUT OF THE DAMN ROAD, YOU USELESS HUMANS!" shouted the reptile, fed up with their presence and stupid smiles.
One of them, a young-looking one, approached.
"What's wrong, Fibea? Don't you have any patience?" he said, smiling.
"How do you know my name?" the reptile asked, alarmed. He didn't know how the human knew his name, since this was the first time in his long life that he had left the desert kingdom.
"Oh, Fibea, we all know each other here, don't we, friends?" the being asked.
"Of course we do," replied another, dressed in a nurse's uniform. "In fact, we should know you."
"I'm warning you!" "Get away from me!" he tried to shout, but only weak words came out.
One of them approached from behind and grabbed him. The reptile tried to break free, but the nurse grabbed his face.
"Should we play for a while, don't you think?"
With that, the creatures sprouted sharp teeth and round mouths with fangs protruding from them. They bit the reptile's face and were gone in the blink of an eye, not even giving him time to form words or even scream.
Those who remained in the vehicle were petrified, but one managed to react when the other "humans" turned to look at them and reversed, creating a small cloud of dust that disoriented them for a few seconds.
They continued on, their fear palpable, while the little 5-year-old boy began to cry in terror.
"Shut the brat up before they find us!" one of the deserters said to the woman.
"You talk like they're not everywhere!" Orm yelled.
The reptile who had just yelled at the woman looked out the window and saw many of the monsters emerging from the forest, even though they were speeding to try and outrun them.
The driver felt a light pierce his vision, and upon closer inspection, he saw a woman atop a mansion. She was calling to them...
The deserter decided, with what little faith and courage he had left, that they would go there.
But another, noticing the sudden change in direction, asked,
"What the hell are you doing?!"
"I'm trying to get to that house!" the driver replied, pointing at the mansion.
The other reptile looked ahead and spotted the woman with the flashlight.
"Are you crazy?! You're going to hand us over to those bastards who murdered Fibea?!"
"I'm trying to get to that house!" The reptile took the wheel from the driver and started driving himself, speeding past the mansion. Everyone inside begged them to stop, but he refused and continued at full speed.
The others started arguing amongst themselves because some wanted to go to the mansion, while others wanted to keep driving.
Orm asked them to stop fighting because they were making very rough movements and were going to cause the vehicle to overturn.
They, of course, ignored him and continued their argument, while the woman tried to calm her children.
Until what the former king had predicted came to pass...
...the vehicle overturned...
