Work Text:

Noriaki Kakyoin had very few things in his life that he was displeased with. His boyfriend, Jotaro Kujo, was one of the things in his life that brought him immense joy but yet a certain sense of frustration.

There was nothing Kakyoin loved more than the sweet embrace and love his boyfriend offered him but the difficulty was that no one could know of their relationship.

Neither Jotaro nor Kakyoin were out as gay and it was rather difficult to be openly in a gay relationship as they still attended public school.

So to avoid this struggle Kakyoin ans jotaro chose to keep their relationship unknown to friends, family, and classmates. To anyone else they were simply friends.

Despite this obstacle, Kakyoin and Jotaro loved one another dearly, although hiding such a secret came with many challenges. Jotaro and Kakyoin were unable to display any signs of romantic affection, often choosing to avoid each other all together to make sure that no one suspects them of being involved.

Despite their attempts to remain separate under the public eye they couldn't help but to be drawn together, often talking between classes and attending social outings as a pair.

School was often strenuous and Kakyoin valued his academic record very highly, this often clashed with Jotaro's indifferent attitude towards his marks. Jotaro often expected Kakyoin to hold this same attitude but nothing deterred Kakyoin from striving for excellent grades.

After one particularly gruelling day of school, Kakyoin began to head for the exit.

"Kakyoin!"

He jumped as a friend grabbed his shoulder. Kakyoin forced a smile, adjusting his bag on his shoulder.

"Yeah?"

His friend grinned

"walking home? We can walk together."

Kakyoin hesitated as he was exhausted from the amount of work and testing he had endured.

"Actually, I..."

before he could finish, his friend's expression lit up.

"Oh there's Jotaro!"

He waved over jotaro who was walking out with some of his friends.

"Kakyoin walking home alone,he can come with us."

Kakyoin's heart dropped. Jotaro paused, looking over at them. Kakyoin nearly stopped breathing when Jotaro gave a short, stoic nod.

"Sure"

his friends beamed, completely oblivious to the tension in the air. Kakyoin swallowed hard, quickly falling into step next to jotaro as they began walking. He kept his eyes straight ahead, terrified that one wrong look would give everything away. Jotaro's friends were chatting loudly about sports, completely oblivious, but Kakyoin was hyper aware of Jotaro's arm brushing against his.

"So Kakyoin,”

one of them asked.

"Are you going to that party on Friday?"

The boy asked casually.

"It's gonna be huge. Almost everyone is going"

Kakyoin nodded automatically

"I might "

he answered smoothly. Meanwhile jotaro remained completely unreadable, walking beside him with that terribly calm expression.

"You coming, jojo"

"Sure, why not?"

It amazed Kakyoin how Jotaro could remain so unbothered under the pressure that was crippling to him.

"Cool, you guys should totally come together."

The boy continued to talk, aware of the terror that plagues the air between Jotaro and Kakyoin.

"What do you say Kakyoin? Why don't you bring a girl too?"

Kakyoin laughed nervously at his teasing, attempting to avoid giving the reason for his nervousness.

"I know jotaro has quite the line up of girls to choose from. Who's it gonna be? Have someone special in mind?"

"Yeah I got someone in mind"

jotaro’s gaze flickered over to Kakyoin, holding his gaze for a long moment before looking back ahead. Kakyoin's breath hitched at the connotation of his response. How could he say such things in front of someone? If he kept this behavior up it was a matter of time before someone uncovered the nature of their relationship.

Kakyoin nodded quickly, trying to keep his composure as his friends laughed, completely missing the silent conversation right in front of him.

"Friday's gonna be insane."

The group reached the intersection that signaled for them to split up.

"Later, Jojo."

The friend slapped Jotaro’s shoulder.

"See ya Kakyoin"

Kakyoin gave a casual wave, watching as he walked off. Once they were out of ear shot, Kakyoin turned to jotaro, his smile dropping.

"You’re an idiot"

he hissed quietly, his face flushed with a mix of anger

"What was that?"

"What"

Jotaro replied defensively. Kakyoin stepped closer

"the way that you looked at me, they almost figured it out"

Despite his words he didn't move away, letting the heat linger between them.

"Please, he didn't notice anything,"

he said dismissively.

"Just be more careful,"

Kakyoin spat, smoothing his uniform, attempting to regain his composure.

"Fine, but I'll pick you up for the party on Friday right?"

"Yeah sure. I'll see you later"

"See ya Kakyoin"

Kakyoin watched Jotaro walk away, still slightly frustrated with their conversation.

Over the next two days the whispers about the party grew louder, everyone buzzing with excitement. Friday arrived and Kakyoin spent an agonizing amount of time getting ready.

At exactly 7pm there was a knock at the door. Kakyoin took one last deep breath, checking his reflection before opening it. Jotaro stood there, looking effortlessly cool as always. Kakyoin couldn't help but notice that jotaro looked devastatingly good. Desperate to not let his boyfriend know how he admired him, he spoke in a cool, calm tone.

"Hey you're actually on time."

"Where's the really hot girl you promised to bring?"

Jotaro asked playfully, relishing his Kakyoin annoyance. rolled his eyes, grabbing his keys and stepping out.

The party was in full swing when they arrived, music pounding, lights flashing. Kakyoin immediately started chatting with a group of his academic friends, trying to act normal. Jotaro blended into the background, grabbing drinks for both of them. The alcohol began to flow freely and inhibitions lowered.

"Kakyoin, need a drink?"

Kakyoin wiped a bit of sweat from his forehead, the heat of the crowded room becoming overwhelming.

"God yes."

He nodded gratefully,

"something strong please."

He looked around nervously, making sure none of his classmates were watching them too closely as jotaro handed him a red plastic cup.

"Dont roofie me"

Kakyoin muttered, jokingly.

"I promise,"

Jotaro replied, keeping an equally humorous tone. Kakyoin took a cautious sip, the strong burn of cheap vodka hitting the back of his throat instantly.

"Good"

he took a longer gulp, letting the alcohol loosen his tense muscles.

"Because if you try anything, I'm telling everyone you have a tiny-"

He cut himself off as a group of girls passed by where they were stationed. Jotaro lowered his voice to a whisper, meeting Kakyoin's gaze,

"Now we both know that's not true."

Kakyoin choked on his drink, his face instantly turning beet red. He swatted Jotaro's arm, flushing violently because they both knew that was a blatant lie.

"Shut your mouth."

He whispered urgently, tapping his cup.

"We are not talking about this in the middle of a party."

Kakyoin continued to chat and laugh with his friends, doing shots and playing beer pong. Jotaro stood nearby, usually watching Kakyoin but attempting to hide his gaze. Every time Kakyoin looked over, Jotaro was either deep in conversation or being hit on by girls.

As the night wore on, Kakyoin started to feel pleasantly buzzed. His movements were slower, his words slurred slightly. He excused himself from.his group of friends, stumbling slightly as he made his way through the crowd to the bathroom. Before he could make it to the bathroom he saw Jotaro urgently cutting through the crowd to reach him, holding him by his shoulders.

"Hey are you alright?"

Kakyoin leaned heavily against the hallway wall, blinking his eyes open to find jotaro standing over him, looking genuinely concerned despite his earlier teasing.

"M'fine."

Kakyoin slurred softly, waving a hand dismissively.

"Just... buzzed. Dizzy"

He tried to straighten up but wobbled, grabbing Jotaro's arm for support. This was all Jotaro needed to see to make up his mind,

"alright it’s time to go"

Kakyoin didn't argue, leaning heavily into jotaro. He was absolutely tipsy, his world spinning pleasantly.

"Mhm... taking me home?"

He leaned his head against Jotaro's shoulder, smiling at him drunkenly.

"What are you gonna do to me there?"

Jotaro quickly dismissed Kakyoin's attempts of coming on to him on account of the fact that he was totally wasted.

"I won't be doing anything to you tonight because you're so drunk you can hardly stand"

Jotaro guided him outside into the cool night air. Quickly and without much hesitation he picked up Kakyoin bridal style. Kakyoin let out a startled yelp, instinctively wrapping his arms around Jotaro's neck as he was scooped up effortlessly.

"Jotaro!"

He shouted, his face burning against Jotaro's shoulder.

"I am a grown man. Put me down."

Despite his protests he melted into the hold.

"You’re totally wasted"

"damn straight"

Kakyoin muttered softly, realizing the degree of his intoxication. He hummed softly, letting Jotaro put him carefully into the passenger seat. He watched Jotaro walk around the car, admiring his very being without any inhibitions of being watched or found out.

The drive home was filled with kakyoin's soft hum and occasional drunken laughter at nothing in particular.

When they pulled into the driveway, he unbuckled his seatbelt and stumbled slightly as he tried to get out of the car on his own. Kakyoin let Jotaro help him out of the car, leaning heavily into his side as they walked to the front door.

"You are way too good at taking care of drunk people."

He muttered, fishing his keys out of his pocket with shaky hands.

"Yeah cause I'm actually sober"

Kakyoin managed to unlock the door, stumbling inside and kicking off his shoes haphazardly. He turned around blinking blearily at Jotaro.

"You’re so boring."

He accused me with a slight slur, pouting,

"No alcohol, no fun."

"If it helps, I wanted to take a shot every time some girl tried hitting on you"

Jotaro's voice was tired and even slightly irritated. Kakyoin groaned loudly, throwing his head back.

"Dont remind me."

He stumbled toward his bedroom, kicking off the rest of his clothes until he was just in his boxers.

"They were very persistent. It was very annoying."

He collapsed face first into his bed, muffling a groan into his pillow. Although he would rarely admit it, Kakyoin loved nothing more than when jotaro was jealous of the girl that flirted with him.

"Come on jotaro"

Kakyoin managed to crawl towards Jotaro, who was standing at the side of his bed.

"Fuck me."

"Not tonight baby,"

Jotaro responded in a soft, loving tone, carefully brushing the bright red hair from his lover's face. Kakyoin melted instantly, the pet name making his drunken, chaotic brain settle immediately. He turned his face into Jotaro's hand, his eyes fluttering shut.

"Go to sleep now. You need it”

Kakyoin whined at the dismissal, grabbing blindly for Jotaro's wrist and tugging weakly.

"Stay here with me?"

He mumbled pathetically, eyes half lidded and vulnerable, pupils blown wide.

"Just... please. I don't wanna be alone tonight."

He pulled harder, his grip surprisingly strong for someone so wasted. Kakyoin immediately calmed down at jotaro’s agreement, instantly relaxing into the mattress with a contented hum.

He scooted over, making room, and immediately tried to curl into Jotaro's body. Kakyoin let out a soft, relieved sound as he wrapped his arms around Jotaro's waist, burying his face in his chest. The scent and the warmth of his body immediately soothed his drunken mind. Within seconds, his breathing even out, his body going limp as he passed out cold.

In the morning, Kakyoin slowly woke up, his head pounding with a vicious hangover. He groaned, squinting at the bright sunlight streaming through his windows. Kakyoin jolted slightly, pressing a hand to his forehead as he spotted jotaro near the door looking freshly awake.

"Hey"

Kakyoin said, trying to rub the tiredness from his eyes and the hangover from his body.

"Did I do anything really embarrassing last night?"

"You got so drunk I had to carry you out of the party and take you home."

Jotaro loved Kakyoin very much but was very blunt in his delivery. He did however choose to refrain from telling him that he had begged him to sleep with him, he thought it best to let his pride be left somewhat intact.

"Fuck"

Kakyoin groaned, face heating with embarrassment despite his hangover.

"You should go before my parents find you. But thank you for taking care of me last night. Even if I was a total mess"

"always"
