“Oh, look outside.
Isn’t it raining pretty hard right now?
I bet you haven’t heard about the ghost that roams the school on nights like these. I heard it from someone else, once — during a different storm. But the rainfall had been beating down just as hard.
Six years ago, there was an incident.
There was a model student in the same year as us. He was candid, polite, friendly: popular with his classmates and an exemplar of what teachers wanted. He got good grades, too.
And, one day, he jumped from the school building to his death.
Who knows why? Most people have said he was burnt out from school. It hasn’t actually been that long since it happened; but the school was so strict about it not getting out that most of the new students and newly-hired teachers don’t know about it.
The only problem is that, every so often, there are students who say that they’ve seen him.
Especially on days when it rains, and you end up being the only one at school to stay late: they say to watch out if you see an unfamiliar boy walking the halls or suddenly sitting and studying in a vacant seat.
Why?
Because it might just be his ghost.”
