Sharp knew he'd made a mistake. He knew he'd given in to weakness just once, hoping Jude wouldn't turn it against him. But Judelow wouldn't be Judelow if he hadn't figured out how to use that to set a new trap. And making Sharpness look like an idiot had become his favorite hobby. And just like that, the phrase that seemed like it could open up new horizons for their friendship ended their alliance.
"Oh my God, Jude! Have you had such long bunny ears this whole time?" Sharp was dumbfounded when he returned to their base, where Jude, helmetless, was waiting for him, with huge purple ears like the real Bonnie from the popular horror game.
"What, you like them?" He grinned cheekily, twitching his ears back and forth, drawing even more attention and causing a surprised gasp from the other man.
"I'm just... Confused?.. Why do you always hide them under your helmet?" The blond one, driven by genuine curiosity, stepped closer and reached out to them, as if wanting to check if he'd seen something. But the fluffy ear evaded his touch, and Jude stepped back.
"Hey, what were we trying to do here?" He narrowed his eyes. Sharpness blinked in confusion, his hand hovering in the air, then awkwardly lowered it. "Wanted... to make sure?" "Make sure of what?" "I don't know, it's just... They're supposed to be soft and pleasant to the touch, that's all," he averted his pale green eyes, approaching their warehouse and starting to sort through the resources.
"You know... It could be true, who knows. Let's have a friendly competition tomorrow: if you can catch up with me, you can touch my ears and confirm all your suspicions. And if I manage to escape... Well, I think you had an extra mace there?.. Yeah, I'd like to take that for myself." "Deal," Sharp agreed too quickly.
Judelow left the base, holding back his laughter as best he could. This guy was so easy to fool, it was simply impossible. Now he just needed to build a couple of pizza traps and tomorrow watch the blond man fall into them one after another. And yeah... Maybe this would ruin their alliance a little. Absolutely right... But no matter, it was only temporary, and they'd both gotten a lot out of this alliance. It was time to return to his solo "career" again; he was getting a little tired of constantly being on guard, expecting Sharp to betray him. It wasn't that he was afraid of him; even at the very base he'd just left, three backup traps were set up, and if the blond did anything suspicious, the bunny hybrid would have no trouble catching him again and humiliating him. And Jude was absolutely certain Sharpness was about to pull something, especially when the bunny showed him several more of his traps. Maybe he'd even planned to pull it off today, but his ears got the better of him. He knew Sharp would be interested in them; he'd tested his theory for good reason. Oh, tomorrow promises to be fun...

Of course, he hadn't intended to let Sharpness touch his ears. They were actually quite sensitive, but even if Sharpness managed to touch them for a moment, nothing would happen. The plan was simple: run away from the blond man for a bit, and when he lost his vigilance, start acting for real. And so began their little game of "how to lose barely existing trust in 5 minutes."
"Hmm, that either sounds like a pick-up line, or you somehow connected a redstone mechanism to your ears, and when I touch them, I'll fall into a trap, am I right?" the swordmaster said sarcastically. "Nooo..." Ignoring the first option, Judelow drawled. "Well, the offer is tempting, I'm willing to risk it—" Oh... As soon as he reached for Jude's ears, they somehow twisted, slipping out from under Sharpness's fingers in a split second. Before he could blink, the blue-violet spot was already running away, increasing the distance between them by five meters with every second.
"You think you've come up with a new bait, Jude?"
Was Jude sad to lose their alliance? Perhaps only a little. Sharpness was sometimes quite good at setting or activating traps, but his purpose was still to swing a sword. Let him go back to his steppe. Speaking of steppes, the bunny ran across the field, barely dodging the pursuing swordmaster. Sharpness certainly had combat skills and the ability to pursue and overtake his prey. Fortunately, Jude knew exactly how to slow him down.
A randomly pressure plate was placed on the floor, and the bunny heard the blond curse, slowing down and pulling away from the fleeing man. Half the server was already suffering from this kind of PTSD, and Sharpie especially. The blond man heard Judelow's cheerful fading laugh and watched him run into the forest.
"Oh, god. Well, of course, I didn't expect this to be easy..." Sharpness ate a couple of golden carrots and set off again to chase the bunny.
"Today I'll catch that damn hare by the ears."
As he approached the forest, he lost sight of the dark purple spot. Carefully moving through the terrain, peering into every tree, every meter of ground, and especially every bush, he made his way further and further. He needed to get through this biome as quickly as possible. The forest was the epicenter of Judelow's traps. Every meter he covered was like walking through a minefield. At any moment... An arrow could fly?!
An arrow struck him, and Sharp quickly raised his shield, turning in the direction from which it had come. In the distance, on a tall tree, he noticed a suspiciously purple shadow slithering down. He was about to rush after him, but paused for a second. The blond man noticed that the terrain looked eerily familiar.
Jude climbed down from the tree, chuckling at Sharp. Their alliance wouldn't last long... There are only a couple of minutes left before the tactical and no more alliance breaks... Where is Sharp? The arrow should have given him direction, because this idiot seemed to have actually lost him among three oak trees. Noticing the dark silhouette with blond hair, Jude twitched his ears, further luring his prey into his trap. Sharpness, as usual, blindly chased him, not seeing anything around him, not using his brain, and automatically executing technical sword swings when he got close enough. What an easy prey he was. But how funny it was to catch him over and over again.
"You've lost, Jude, you have nowhere to run!" the blond shouted, anticipating victory, approaching. Jude slid between two trees to the right, feigning a stumble – a classic move to give the enemy even more false hope of success, taking advantage of their desire to win and the thought that the outcome is a foregone conclusion. The trap indicator was already flickering in front of his eyes. Three meters... Two... One...
"JUDE! I TRUSTED YOU, YOU SON OF A BITCH—"
"BRO, SERIOUSLY?! Did you really think this would be a fair competition?"
"Our alliance..."
"IS OVER! "
conexion was killed by JudeLow.
The bunny hybrid burst into laughter, saying something about how easy it was to fool this guy and how the only thing he could do was swing a sword and block a shield. Jude was so confident that everything would work out that he didn't even bother setting a backup trap in the loot area. However, what if all this time he thought he was gaslighting Sharpness, when in reality, he was the one being fooled? "Surprise, bunny." Jude didn't even have time to collect all the resources before Sharpness's sword flashed in the corner of his eye as he landed in the water, now wearing brand-new, shiny gear. "Didn't expect that, Jude?" – he grinned triumphantly. – "WHAT?! HOW-"
He absolutely couldn't fight him, the blond was so far ahead of him in fighting skills. How did he even end up in this situation, how did Sharpness manage to get back here so quickly? It just couldn't be... – "Wait, wait, Sharp, we can talk, we can discuss everything", – he babbled, raising his hands peacefully, a nervous chuckle escaping his mouth. Jude quickly went through all the possible escape options. Oh, how he regretted not having made backup traps. Damn.
"Oh, yes, we can talk about how you betrayed me..." The blond man approached the bunny menacingly slowly, confidently stepping on the floor, as if... "As if he knows I didn't set anything here..." The situation looked bad for Jude; the blond man had blocked the exit. However, there was still a chance of escape. His ears twitched nervously, betraying his owner's state, and he noticed a smile spreading across Sharpness's lips as he approached. He needed to act quickly. Now. He rushed to the nearest wall and, digging up the bottom block, poured water so he could fit into the small space and continue digging a one-block tunnel. He could easily outmaneuver Sharpness, trapping him with a pressure plate and a sign. But no such luck. Sharpness was quicker and grabbed his leg, pulling him forcefully out of the tunnel and landing on top of him.
"H-hey, Shaaarp, how about we talk peacefully?"
"Hmm? Yes, I think you'll fulfill your part of the deal now, and then we can talk," his gaze studied the hybrid bunny's twitching ears with interest. "Are you afraid?" Sharpness blinked, meeting the purple eyes again. He could feel the tension and indignation.
"You knew," Jude narrowed his eyes, ignoring the question and meeting his interlocutor's gaze. "You knew where the trap would be and that I hadn't prepared any backup, but... How?" Sharpness grinned smugly, drawing patterns on the stone dangerously close to the ears with one hand, and lightly pressing the bunny's body to the ground with the other. "Did you figure it out? Finally realized that I always get what I want?"
"I wouldn't say always..." He rolled his eyes smugly, a slight smile appearing on his face. Even in such a situation, he didn't stop being so self-assured. Wonder how long it will take for that insolent look to give way to something else... Sharpness lightly ran his finger along the fur of the ear. This caused an immediate reaction in the hybrid. Damn it, his body shuddered from just one barely perceptible touch. It wasn't the same sensation as when he touched or stroked his own ears. They were even more sensitive than he thought... He was in deep shit. Sharpness sighed in shock, not expecting such a reaction from just one fleeting touch. This was only getting more interesting. Judelow pressed his entire body against the hard stone, throwing his head back and squeezing his eyes shut.
“You know, at first I thought I’d make you fulfill our agreement and then kill you for betraying me, but now... I don’t even feel like killing you anymore,” he said, gently running his hand up one ear. The ears twitched playfully, leaning toward the touch. “I’ll fucking kill you,” Judelow said hoarsely. “Judy, they’re so soft and nice,” Sharp ignored his threats. “Are you happy now? Get off me!” The hare hybrid’s gaze wandered aimlessly across the ceiling, not wanting to meet the pale green eyes. “What if not?..” “I swear to God, I—” “What will you do? You fell into your own trap, Jude!” The guy laughed, removing the hand that was pinning the bunny hybrid to the ground. Jude took advantage of this to push Sharp off of him. He almost succeeded; he was about to jump up and run away, hoping to take the last of his pride with him and never think about it again. This was his chance. Which.. he missed again... Sharpness quickly got his bearings and grabbed him by the ears, being careful not to press too hard. Jude choked on air and fell back, his back against the blond man leaning against the wall. Instinctively, he grabbed the guy by the hand that was holding his ears. It hurt a bit, and Sharpness quickly realized his mistake in letting go. Instead, he wrapped his arm around his former ally to keep him from trying to escape again and whispered quietly, "Sorry..." "Sharp, at least be careful..." The ears darted anxiously from side to side. "I'm sorry, I didn't want to let you go," the meaning of the words spread like a reddish tint across both of their cheeks. Sharpness returned to Jude's ears, gently stroking them upward, his fingers lightly burying themselves in the soft fur. A heavy sigh was the response to this action. "Do you like it?" "I hate you." "Is that so... What if I do this?" The blond lightly scratched somewhere at the base of his ear, watching for a reaction. Oh...
He began to shake again, and a pleasant, warm wave passed through his entire body. Why did Sharpness's calloused hands on his ears feel so soft, gentle, and pleasant? He hated how he stopped struggling, but he couldn't help it. He tried with all his might to suppress his trembling every time his enemy touched his ears, but Sharpness, it seemed, had no intention of stopping, thus getting revenge on him for all his traps. "You've fallen into your own trap, Jude," but this one, unlike all the others, was the most dangerous. He wanted to stay in it. Judelow choked again as the blond man ran his hand over his ears once again, smoothing out the slightly rumpled fur in some places. His hot breath brushed against the few tufts of fluff at the tips of his ears, urging him to lose himself in the sensation. And he'd be damned if he did.
"Fuck it", Sharpness felt Jude slide down, drawing his knees up. His ears fluttered playfully against his chest, begging for more, ignoring the thoughts and internal conflicts of his owner, who was blushing. "Aaaand... you liked it," the blond man said calmly, finding it more comfortable to continue stroking his ears, occasionally feeling bunny hybrid's body shudder or him try to hold back a sharp intake of breath when Sharpness touched a particularly sensitive spot.
"Shut up and keep going," Jude muttered, covering his face with his hands. Where had all the insolence and self-confidence gone? "You know, you really do have beautiful ears, I'm not even kidding. Why have you never shown them to anyone?" Sharpness continued to gently run his hand over the fur, but completely ignored the first request, starting a new dialogue. "So I don't get into situation like this later, idiot," Jude replied dully. "But why did you tell me then?" The blond man paused for a moment, placing a hand on his dark purple hair when its owner raised his head. "I like finding new, even stupider ways to trap you every time, and I didn't think my ears would be so sensitive if someone other than me touched them," Judelow answered honestly, seeing no point in inventing any lies. Judging by the way Sharpness didn't respond and scratched behind his ear again, hoping for the same reaction as before, this was still some form of revenge for all the times Jude killed him.
Having gotten used to the sensations a little, the hybrid said: "Actually, I have a question for you too," he began, and Sharp paused briefly, allowing him to continue, watching with interest the movements of his ears, which were reaching back to his hand. It was so funny and sweet. “You always open your shulkers in front of me like it’s nothing, like it’s normal. Have you ever considered that at times like these, I can easily steal something from you, and you know that with my traps, you’re unlikely to get those things back, so why? Why do you keep doing this? Like you trust me...”
The blond chuckled sadly, bowing his head. His nose brushed the tip of his ear, which fluttered happily from the new contact. “Jude... Why did you decide to betray me and break the alliance?” he muttered. “Because if not me, you would have gotten there first. Do you think I didn’t know that at the slightest opportunity, you’d want revenge— Oh, oh! WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO THERE?”
“Ahh... um,” Sharpness was embarrassed, sincerely not wanting to explain what he had just done. A wild thought just crept into his head to gently bite the ear, after all, they'd been looming in front of his face for the last few minutes, tempting him to do so. Well, he ignored the last question, continuing the conversation: "I didn't mean to betray you. Why? We're the strongest duo on the server," he tried very hard to keep his voice even. But if Judelow had turned around, the blush that covered his pale skin would have given him away.
"What? No, I don't believe it! You're constantly looking for ways to kill me with my own traps, thinking you're smarter than me, but you're not." "That's very funny to hear at this moment," he returned both hands to Jude's ears, which caused several relaxed sighs. "Shut up," he only replied quietly. However, despite the way the hybrid hunched over and folded his arms across his chest, there was no anger in his voice. Only a hint of irritation. Much had changed during their union. indeed. Sharpness often trusted Judelow not just his shulkers, but sometimes even his own life and safety, staying with him at the base without armor, forcing the bunny to once again wonder: was he simply incredibly stupid or was there something more to it?Trust.
Judelow, for his part, saw potential in Sharpness (which, frankly, quickly died, but still, it was there); he saw how Sharpness invested in their alliance and genuinely tried his best. The unpredictability of traps simply wasn't for him; he was accustomed to more stable techniques—classic PVP. He even taught Judelow several unique techniques, while he himself learned a ton about how traps work and how to properly trap people in them, which turned out to be not as simple as it looked. So, no matter how much they claimed to others and themselves that this was just a tactical alliance, they couldn't deny how close they had become in that short period of time. Past grievances and hostility, even if there was any, gradually dissolved, all the rough edges were smoothed out. And now Sharpness's rough fingers, accustomed to strength, cruelty, and a firm grip on sword hilts, stroked the hare's ears so tenderly and carefully, eliciting approving sighs and a reaction from hybrid, who relaxed against his chest and entrusted something so precious and sensitive to his former teammate.
"I really didn't mean to betray you, Jude. Otherwise, I would have finished you off right here." "I'm sorry... I'm so used to working alone and being betrayed by anyone at the slightest opportunity that I find it hard to believe otherwise. I don't even understand why you haven't killed me now..." The hare hybrid settled more comfortably, carefully moving closer to the blond man, as if still slightly afraid that he would change his mind at any moment, and in a matter of minutes they would return to their usual rivalry. "I like your ears," was the answer. Short, simple. A mighty warrior, a master swordsman, had found something beautiful and changed his mind about killing it. It might have sounded absurd, but Sharpness saw nothing strange in it. Jude tried to digest these words and believe their meaning as best he could. And he succeeded.
Maybe not entirely, but he truly believed Sharpness. Perhaps it was fleeting, perhaps when this moment was over, he would never allow it to happen again. He would tuck his ears back under his helmet and never show them to the world again, seeing them as a vulnerability. But there's a chance that when they say goodbye, when they go their separate ways, and when Sharpness returns to his base to repair his armor, replenish supplies, and sort through his shulkers and equipment, Judelow won't pull the coveted lever that will send the blond into the trap. Instead, he'll greet his friend , lover, constant ally with a joyful smile, and together they'll go and devise a new plan. And maybe Jude will even explain how to brew potions of turtle master without committing genocide on the poor creatures.
"And I like the way you pet them." The idea of constantly working together with Sharpness no longer seemed so impossible to Jude.
