Chapter Text
Every single time he sees Princess Pea being herself, it makes him feel... jealous.
As a kid, he didn't notice his feelings of wanting to be like his best friend.
He thought that his mind was bothering him with some stuff.
Eventually, he discovered about his issue.
Some books were able to find what he needed.
He hated feeling like a boy, he wants to be like Princess Pea.
A girl. Is what he wanted to be.
He wants to wear dresses.
He wants to wear high heels.
He wants to have tea parties.
And everything else.
Now, he has been avoiding Princess Pea.
Not purposely, just out of sheer shame.
That was until she had confronted him when he was reading a book underneath a tree. Away from the sunlight.
"Whyatt? You have been avoiding me recently, what's going on?"
He hated that name.
Whyatt.
The boy looked up at his best friend, saying "Hi Princess Pea, what are you doing here?"
Princess Pea just said "I've noticed that you kept your distance from me. Did I do something?"
"Oh no, you didn't do anything. Just, been... um..." he tried to come up with a lie that can work.
But his senses are telling him to spill it out.
"Um... I guess you do wanna know. Well, I don't know why I'm feeling this way." He started talking.
Pea looked confused, asking "Feeling what?"
"I want to be like you Princess Pea..." he said.
That surprised the Princess, she asked "Like me? Like you want to dress up like me? Or do you want to be a girl?"
He nodded, answering all of the questions.
"Oh... you want to be a girl? Like, does your parents know?" Pea asked.
"I haven't thought of it." He answered.
Princess Pea sat next to her best friend, reassuring him "You're... trans?"
He nodded, resting his head.
"Oh, well. You can tell me what name you would like to be called." Pea said, being okay with a Trans friend.
"Maybe Wendy can help. I prefer Whitney better." He, I mean... she said.
Pea hugged her best friend, saying "Sound amazing. I'm happy for you Whitney."
She smiled. Happy to get the appreciation.
