the circus is still drenched in grey. Everyone stands stagnant, pondering what to do next. With the sudden loss of Caine, there’s no color. No sound, no stimuli. Pomni turns to Zooble, stunned. “If…Zooble just swore, that means Caine is gone.” Immediately, the gears in Pomni’s head begin to turn. “If Caine is gone, he can’t distract us from trying to find a working exit..!” She piped up, smiling. “We can go home!” The hope inside of her that had since drained ever since she first entered the circus regenerated.
The group looked from one to another, shaken and unsure. Was there really even an exit? Was there finally a way back to their normal lives? Kinger removed the bucket from his head, and Zooble took hold of Gangle‘s ribbon hand.
“I…don’t think I even remember what it was like to have a human body.” Zooble mumbled, shying away from Gangle. Gangle turned to them. Gangle quickly took notice of the Anguish in Zooble’s eyes. In their shared days together, Zooble took notice of the sweet, gentle interior Gangle hid away, after being bullied by Jax for so long. Gangle was attentive, and kind. She knew how to read people like a book; especially her closest friends.
Gangle gave the others a wave as she led Zooble to a secluded area; one they always used to hide away in together when they needed time alone. When they reached the spot, Gangle exploded into apologies.
“GAH!! I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry!!! I probably embarrassed you-“ Zooble shushed Gangle. “Hey. I’m gonna be embarrassed to be seen with you.” Gangle’s face exploded into a pool of red as she blushed. “Okay…that’s..THATS GOOD!! I’m glad you’re not embarrassed!!” Gangle tripped over her own words as Zooble kissed her cheek.
“Bwa-hh-HAH-“ Gangle smiled like a child, who just got some candy. Zooble giggled at Gangle‘s dopey expression, before kissing her once more.
