Klug and Lidelle were preparing for their movie night, Lidelle staying over at his house for the night for this.
"Uhm, Klug I brought your favorites." She smiled at him, holding up a bag of snacks. Klug smiled back, "Ah thank you, would you mind helping me set up?" Lidelle nodded.
Together they cleaned up and made the space neat, the occasional mishaps happened but it wasn't taken to heart.
"Ehehe, here let me pick that up."
"No I got it."
Their hands accidentally touched, their faces too close. The silence was unbearably long despite it being only a minute before their hands parted.
"S-sorry.." Lidelle apologized sincerely, "Don't worry about it too much, Lidelle." Klug tried to sound confident as per usual but something shifted in his tone.
They continued cleaning until it was good enough, "What next?" Lidelle muttered curiously.
"The food of course, but we'll have to be quick, our movie is gonna be on in an hour." Klug replied firmly.
Lidelle nodded.
She made sandwiches but something caught her eye.
Jiffy Pop, sitting there in the back of the cabinet. She knew it was popcorn but not sure how to make it, she rarely ate snacks.
"That's jiffy pop, you want to try some?" Klug asked, a tad curious.
"yea.."
---
"So it's like this?" She held it over the stove top, watching it slowly puff up, emphasis on slowly.
"Yea, but you gotta move your hand back and forth- somehow you're doing this wrong." Klug remarked, his words laced with irritation
He grabbed her hand and demonstrated it.
Lidelle felt her face becoming red, Klug didn't realize they basically held hands.
"oh. OH." Klug's face started to burn red too, not as embarrassed but still, "Erm..Sorry about that.." He quickly spoke, adjusting his glasses.
"It's alright" Lidelle reassured him, "You just wanted to show me."
---
Their movie finally came on, only light in the room came from the tv. Lidelle happily munched on the snacks, not eating much but still trying it.
Klug however, was halfway through his chip bag and soda, focused intently on the movie.
"Volume's a little low..." Klug muttered, "I'll get it." Lidelle hurried
Their hands both touched the remote, Lidelle's hand--well sleeve-- on top of Klug's hand, they looked at each other realized the awkward closeness.
"I uhm..sorry." Lidelle apologized instinctively, Klug however didn't say anything yet, just stared at her.
A beat passed before Klug spoke up, "No need to apologize." She looked away but only for a bit before looking back and seeing Klug's face even closer to hers.
"W-what are you doing...?"
"We've been dating for nearly 6 months Lidelle and we haven't kissed at all," He replied flatly, "Do you want this too?"
Lidelle nodded, her eyes not meeting his.
His hand touched her cheek and then
A kiss, filled with unspoken feelings and love.
