My dear, Noctua

Summary:

Tartaglia, code name Childe, was the guild leader of a guild called Monoceros Caeli, one of the top three most powerful guilds in all of Teyvat. He had sworn and vowed to protect the land that his god Aether and goddess Lumine fought to create, till the day he dies. He was sent to find a creature that slaughtered the whole town of Morepesok, at night. It was a kind of bird, he thinks. Though it wasn’t so easy catching that bird, as he kept struggling. Then soon, he found out that the bird had some sort of human form and was named Diluc Ragnvindr of the Vermillion Flame Bird species. But this game of chasing happened to bring these two closer together instead. Now Childe finds himself in a predicament, whether he should save and help Diluc escape the grasp of human greed by betraying his oath or keep his vows to continue defending and protecting the humans from such a dangerous foe?

(This is a story of a time that takes place in a post-apocalyptic future of Teyvat—from the game Genshin Impact.)

Chapter 1: Main storyline

Chapter Text

Teyvat was a world ruled by the heavenly principles. Until an apocalyptic catastrophe took place and caused every civilisation in the world to be gone and lost, alongside the fall of all seven archons.

The world became a place overrun by monsters that came out from the depths of hell and alien creatures from an unknown, giant-sized asteroid that fell from the sky. The seasons change drastically in the blink of an eye; the world’s climate doesn’t follow the same scientific or alchemical rules anymore.

But then came the rise of a new organisation, known as the first ever guild called Luminescence, that were led by the human survivors of the catastrophe, Aether and Lumine. This organisation fought to protect humanity from extinction, and they created a new kind of civilisation for humans to live in. The people today treat this organisation as their heroes, their ancestors that they should respect and worship like gods.

Years later, newer generations of guilds start to take over the world. With the growing number of warriors fighting to protect humanity, the guilds were known as heroes and gained the utmost support from all civilians, easily overpowering every sort of monster or creature that took control of the world when humanity fell.

Creatures like the Vermillion Flame Birds got freed from the depths of hell, but went into hiding, away from humans, when human civilisation was built once again. Though eventually, human greed caused the fall of this species, causing them to lose their only life and power source, the Fire Emblem.

But even without the Fire Emblem, these creatures still managed to survive and had escaped to an unknown place that no humans can track. Once again, isolating themselves from the outside world.

This is a story of a human boy who grew up to protect his homeland and a boy of a fallen, ancient bird species. One was sent to kill the other, and the other had to experience many life-or-death situations with the boy. But soon they will notice things they’ve never noticed before, and their relationship will blossom into something terrific yet beautiful, but also unheard of.
