Choco drizzle Cookie led them through a backstreet alleyway that absolutely reeked of garbage and sewage.
“You’re sure we can get something to eat here?” Green tea mousse whispered as they turned a corner, leading to even more alleys.
“Ugh!! Where even are we!! You said I was gonna get sweets!!” Pudding à la Mode groaned loudly, punching the face of her blaster into the nearest dumpster. They only hid for around 3 days but Pudding à la Mode made it feel like a week, always whining about having to hide like cowards from cookies they could easily wreck. Green tea mousse would be lying if she said she didn’t agree but Choco drizzle insisted on ‘playing it safe’ for a while.
Now that Green tea mousse thought about it, Choco drizzle really hadnt been the same ever since she lost to Kouign-Amann Cookie.
“If you would keep quiet for a bit, this could go by quicker.” Choco Drizzle hissed, but all that did was make Pudding à la Mode even more restless.
”Why were we even hiding to begin with!! There isn’t a cookie on Earthbread that could take me!!” Pudding à la Mode chirped , waving her blaster around. Green tea mouse snickered at her confidence.
”That clearly isn’t true after last time.” Choco Drizzle muttered under her breath. The smile instantly slid off Green tea mousse’s face. She was used to friendly banter between the two, but this was clearly different.
“Woah, relax Choco’.” Green tea mousse Cookie patted Choco Drizzle Cookies back. She sighed and turned back to Pudding à la Mode. “Shes still our little sister, even if she ticks you off a bit.” Green tea mousse tried joking, but when she turned back to Pudding à la Mode, she had a completely blank expression on.
Odd, Green tea mouse thought. They walked in silence for a bit, crossing through woods and smaller towns along the way. But Pudding à la Mode Cookie was silent the entire time.
“We’re getting close.” Choco Drizzle Cookie stated, swiping at a low hanging cobweb. Only now did Green tea mousse check up on Pudding à la Mode.
”Hey, you alright little sister?” Green tea mousse Cookie called, not turning around. But when she got no reply she glanced over her shoulder, Pudding à la Mode was still following, but much farther behind than earlier.
“Hey, are you good back there?” Green tea mousse called, slowing down a bit so she could catch up. By the time Pudding à la Mode drifted her way there Choco Drizzle had turned and stopped aswell.
”Pudding, you in there?” Green tea mousse Cookie asked one more time, but she didn’t even twitch.
“Pudding à la Mode.” Green tea mousse Cookie reached over and softly rested the palm of her hand on her head. At first nothing happened but suddenly, “What, what do you want!!” her eyes undimmed themselves and she was back to life.
“Are you good?” Green tea mousse Cookie tilted her head, this was completely new behavior coming from Pudding à la Mode, who just stared up at her it large unblinking eyes.
“W-why wouldn’t I be?” Pudding à la Mode Cookie choked out. Green tea mousse moved her hand onto Pudding à la Mode’s forehead. “Your over heating Pudding.”
Pudding à la Mode shook her head, “I just need some candy… thats all.” Pudding à la Mode muttered. Now Choco Drizzle Cookie and Green tea mousse Cookie were both alert.
“…why are you acting like this?” Choco drizzle Cookie stepped closer, but Pudding à la Mode moved back slightly. She took another step, and Pudding à la Mode shifted farther back. Choco drizzle Cookie looked at Green tea mousse Cookie, a puzzled expression on her face, but she just shrugged.
”Pudding, lets just sit over there, ‘k?” Green tea mousse Cookie motioned over to the crook of a quite large tree. Pudding à la Mode nodded and drifted over to it with Green tea mousse, Choco Drizzle Cookie glanced back to the path, but followed behind.
Pudding à la Mode Cookie rested on Green tea mousse Cookie’s lap, curling up like like a small kitten, or as well as she could with her sleeves. Green tea mousse ran her fingers through her hair while Choco Drizzle Cookie leaned against the side of the tree.
The trio sat at the crook of the tree for about three minutes, accompanied only by the sound of some rushing water from a nearby river, and tweeting of a cardinal, although it was quite annoying. Finally, Green tea mouse broke the silence.
“So, what was that about anyways?” Pudding à la Mode lifted her head at the question, pouting. “I dunno.” She muttered, “but it wont happen again! Lets get goin’!.” She tried to lift herself off of Green tea mousse Cookie’s lap, but Green tea mousse Cookie had a firm hold on her sleeve.
”Nuh-uh,” Green tea mousse Cookie shook her head, “that was weird even for you Pudding, what was that.”
Pudding à la Mode Cookie glared at Green tea Mousse, “its fine! Im fine, let go.” Pudding la Mode chirped, trying to tug herself out of Green tea mousse Cookies grasp. She had a tight grip, but Pudding à la Mode Cookie was determined, almost breaking free before Choco Drizzle Cookie spoke up.
”I’ve notice you do that before to.” Choco Drizzle Cookie said, pushing herself off of the tree. Pudding à la Mode Cookie froze, Green tea mousse Cookie did to, how did Choco Drizzle Cookie notice before she ever did?
“Why do you care anyways,” Pudding à la Mode mumbled, “not like you even like me anyways.” She added
“…what?” Choco Drizzle cookie sighed, “I dont hate you Pudding à la Mode cookie. Your my sister.”
”Well you act like you do!!! Ever since you lost to that paladin girl you’ve acted different!!” Pudding à la Mode yell echoed through the forest. A cardinal flying away. “Even the stupid birds hate me!!” Pudding à la Mode spat.
”This isn’t about her,” Choco Drizzle cookie hissed, “I just want to make sure we’re safe, and that YOUR safe to.” Choco Drizzle Cookie sighed.
”That doesn't mean we had to sit in a stupid shed in the middle of nowhere for 3 days…” Green tea mousse Cookie added under her breath. Choco Drizzle Cookie glared at her, “you aren’t helping.”
Pudding à la Mode stared at Choco Drizzle Cookie before finally whispering, “so… you don’t hate me?
“of course not.” Choco drizzle Cookie sighed.
Pudding à la Mode stared at her a moment longer. “Then say it.” Choco drizzle Cookie tilted her head, “say what? I don’t hate you?”
“No, it.” Pudding à la mode pressed. “What do you mean.” Then it clicked. “Wait what? No.”
“I knew it! You do hate me then!!” Pudding à la Mode cried, turning away from Choco Drizzle Cookie.
”No, I don’t hate you, but i shouldnt have to say… that.” Choco Drizzle Cookie tried to reason, but Pudding à la Mode just pouted, not turning around, only now did it also click for Green tea mousse cookie, bursting out into laughter which made Choco Drizzle Cookie even more flustered.
”Cmon Drizzy, its easy just say it already!” Green tea mousse Cookie teased, poking Choco Drizzle Cookie’s arm.
“Fine, whatever,” Choco Drizzle sighed, “I love you.”
Pudding à la Mode cheered and hugged Choco Drizzle Cookie, “I know you do!! I just wanted you to say it.” Pudding à la Mode cookie giggled. Choco Drizzle Cookie just rolled her eyes, “well now maybe I do hate you.” She murmured, but a small smile already crept onto her face.
“Alright lets get a move on, we’ve already wasted enough time as it is” Green tea mousse Cookie hopped back onto her feet, “lead the way Choco!”
“And i don’t know why you were so shy to say it,” Green tea mousse laughed, slinging her arms over both of their shoulders, “we’re sisters, we’ve already been through hell and back together. Green tea mousse closed them both into a hug, lifting them both into the air.
”Ew, your sweaty.” Pudding à la Mode Cookie wriggles in her embrace. Green tea mousse Cookie glared at her, “well now I hate you to.” Choco drizzle Cookie smirked as Green tea mousse Cookie let them go.
”Ouu! Where are we going now!” Pudding à la Mode chirped, “you never even told us the name of the place?”
Choco Drizzle sighed, “Sparkling Cookies, juice bar.”
Pudding à la Mode cheered, “I already know theres gonna be tons of sweets there!! Can we steal it all??”
Green tea mousse Cookie snickered, “hey, if he kicks us out maybe we will.”
