Chapter Text
The airship lands near everyone. The door opens and Kamesennin, Bluma, and Karin step out. They make their way to everyone else.
“Are you okay?” Bluma asked.
“Do you have eyes?” Chi-Chi asked.
Goku takes Gohan out of Kuririn’s hands and says, “One of the saiyans got away…”
“Just chasing him off is quite the feat,” Karin said.
“Those Saiyans are strong…” Kuririn said, “I’m afraid that Yamcha and everyone else was killed except for us five…”
“Don’t worry about it! We can revive our friends with the Dragon Balls!” Bluma said.
Karin, Chi-Chi, Goku, and Kuririn gave her a look.
“Why are you looking like that?” Bluma asked, “Son, Chi-Chi, Kuririn, Gohan and Piccolo, right? Where is he?”
Then Yajirobe walked in saying, “Excuse me for living!”
Bluma fell to the floor and stuttered, “Y-You mean that Piccolo is dead!? I-I can never…see Yamcha again…?”
She then began to cry on the ground. Kamesennin said, “What a shame…if only Piccolo lived…and even then, Lunch would still be dead…”
“Hold on! I have a feeling that you would rather have me die!” Yajirobe shouts, “If I was not here, everyone would be dead, you ungrateful bastards!”
“Now now calm down,” Karin said, “We need to take everyone to a hospital! It will be some time before the new Senzu is finished growing!”

Night falls as they land near the initial battle site.
Kuririn, Kamesennin, and Goku step out and pull out four capsule freezers. As they pull in the dead bodies of Yamcha, Lunch, Tenshinhan, and Piccolo they look down to lament.
“This is too terrible…” Kamesennin said, especially seeing the bodies of Tenshinhan, where his forearm is some distance away and Lunch, who still has a gaping hole in her torso. Karin looks and says, “I really wish we can bring them to life…their sacrifice was too great…”
“I know that things look bad right now, but I have an idea…” Kuririn said, “Don’t get your hopes up, but there might be a chance to bring back everyone else…its kinda a long shot,”
Everyone looks at Kuririn in surprise, and Goku says, “Now you mentioned that, I heard you talking about it before…”
“I’ll explain once Gohan wakes up,” Kuririn said.

They are flying to the Western City. As they fly, Gohan then wakes up in Goku’s arms. He is covered by a blanket. He looks around and asks, “Wh-Where is the Saiyan?”
“He managed to get away,” Kuririn said, “But we really gave him a run for his money! He might never come back!”
“Yeah sure…” Yajirobe sarcastically remarks.
“Where is Mother?” Gohan asked.
“She’s right there,” Goku responds, pointing behind him. Chi-Chi was laying down on a mattress and looked up at him. She smiles and says, “You must have been scared! But now you are safe! You didn’t have to be dragged in like that!”
“But if I was not there, you might have died…” Gohan responds.
“I’m sure that we could have won somehow!” Chi-Chi said.
“Kuririn…could you tell us about what you mentioned earlier?” Bluma asked as she drove the airship.
“Oh yeah…” Kuririn said, “The saiyans came here for the Dragon Balls, and they knew about the Dragon Balls and they also called Piccolo a Namekian and that he is an alien…”
“I remember that Raditz guy saying the same thing…” Chi-Chi said.
“The most important part they said was that they could go to Planet Namek to get more Dragon Balls after they killed Piccolo…So if we go to this Namek, we could get more Dragon Balls…”
“Maybe we can revive Uncle Piccolo!” Gohan said.
“And if we do that, Kami-sama can be revived and the Dragon Balls here can be fixed!” Goku said.
“It's not going to be that simple I'm afraid…” Bluma said, “For one thing, where can we find this so-called Namek?”
“I think I know someone,” Chi-Chi said, “Maybe Kaio-sama knows where it is…In fact, he may be listening in now…”
Everyone then hears a voice in their head saying, “Namek may not be in my area of the universe, but I can tell you where it is! Before I do, let me congratulate you on your work! To be honest, after Vegeta transformed, I thought it would be over!”
“Yeah…none of my friends would be dead if you actually took the time taken through the Serpent Road into account…” Chi-Chi said.
“It was just one mistake!” Kaio responds, “And that Saiyan’s power…”
“Yeah…not even the Kaioken could do anything against him…” Chi-Chi said,
“Alright, Namek’s location..." Kaio said, “In earth terms, its at SU83 by 9045XY,”
Bluma’s eyes widened. She turns to Kamesennin and asks, “Can you take over driving, old timer Kamesennin?”
“Are you using that name too?” Kamesenin said, while he took over the driving. Bluma pulled out a calculator and started calculating.
Kaio said, “From what I can recall, Planet Namek was once a beautiful place to live. But a terrible drought devastated it. I thought that all Namekians died at the time. I'll go check to be sure…”
Karin spoke up, “You know, it makes sense why Kami-sama, or the Namekian who became Kami-sama, fled to earth…he likely forgot either because he was too young or just lost his memories like Goku…”
“I don't get it,” Yajirobe said, “Why didn't they just use the Dragon Balls to wish it away?”
“If their Dragon Balls are like Shenlong, it would not be able to grant a wish that exceeded whoever made the Dragon Balls,” Kamesennin said, “Which is why Shenlong was unable to do anything against the Saiyans…”
“Feh, the Dragon Balls don't seem that great after all!” Yajirobe said.
Kaio then said, “They are there! There are only about 100 of them, but the Namekians are there!”
“Sheeh, 100 Piccolos?” Yajirobe said.
Kaio responds, “Don't worry, Namekians are peaceful by nature! The Namekian who would become Demon King Piccolo and the God of Earth likely got influenced by evil earthlings he met, forcing him to split in half to become Earth's God…”
“There are nasty types in the world,” Yajirobe said.
“You are one to talk!” Karin responds.
“So now there is a possibility of bringing everyone back to life!” Kamesennin said.
Then Bluma spoke up, “You are all naive! I figured where Namek is and how long it would take with the fastest rocket in the world! Do you wanna know the number? Try 4,339 years and three months! Does anyone here have immortality?”
“Wh-What can we do?” Goku asked.
“How am I supposed to know?” Kaio responds.
Kuririn then said, “Why don't we just use the Saiyan's space pod”
“Didn't the Saiyan leave with it?” Goku asked.
Kuririn pulled out a remote and said, “I doubt that both of those Saiyans could fit into the pod, so the other guy's pod must be there! This remote was dropped by Vegeta and brought his spaceship to him."
“Oh yeah, and there is my brother Raditz's space pod!” Goku said, “Although it was smashed by Gohan…”
“It is probably in the Eastern City, where the Saiyans landed and is the place they destroyed…” Kamesennin said.
“This may work!” Bluma said in excitement.
“Hope is in sight!” Chi-Chi said in celebration.

The next day, at a hospital in the Western City…
Chi-Chi and Gohan were laying on hospital beds. Kuririn and Goku sat on chairs nearby. They all had bandages wrapped around themselves. Kamesennin, Karin, and Gyumao were in the room. So was Yajirobe.
“They said it will take time for my muscles to stop cramping up…” Chi-Chi said.
“Don't worry,” Karin said, “In the next week, more Senzu will be grown,”
“It will only take three days for me, Goku, and Gohan to be ready to leave,” Kuririn said, “We won't need to waste a Senzu to be fully healed!”
Yajirobe whined, “After the beating I took, they won't even admit me!”
“You just want hospital food,” Karin said.
“You didn't really take a beating!” Kuririn said, “You hid for most of the fight!”
“Sh-Shut up! I was just planning strategies to beat em!” Yajirobe indignantly responds. Karin just laughed.
“I am just glad you did well!” Gyumao said.
Bluma then walked in. She wore a T-shirt and jeans. Her purple hair was out, stretching to her shoulders. She said, “Everyone! Turn on the TV!”
The TV is turned on. On it was the news. On it was a TV anchor and behind him was the space pod. The anchor said, “It seems like this strange object is from space! However, we can't know for sure…but there was a second one, but it flew away…”
“Oh dear, those scientists already have it…” Kamesennin said.
“This will be fun!” Bluma said, “We can call it here and give them a big scare!”
She pressed a button and it…
BOOM!
Blows up into complete dust. Everyone stares in shock as everyone near the pod screams in shock. Karin said, “Our only hope…”
Yajirobe finished, “Wiped out…”
“I-Its hopeless…” Chi-Chi said.
“I don’t think that even Kintoun can take us…” Goku said.
Bluma shouts at Kuririn, “It's your fault, picking up strange remotes!”
“I wasn’t the one to press self destruct...” Kuririn responds.
“Hey,”
Bluma screams as she sees Mr.Popo standing on a magic carpet. He then said, “Someone, come with me. There is a space ship.”
