The issue with AI nowadays is that people treat it like it is not the result of human innovation, but the pinnacle of human creation. The human mind is far more valuable and creative than an algorithm that doesn’t even understand a language. Humans know what words mean because they have memories that correlate with the words, emotions that are linked to them, and people that they think of. But AI has numbers. Numbers that seek to emulate the humanity of humans, numbers that never will.
AI is the result of evil, it is the result of the idea of evil, the process of evil, and the creation of evil.
What I say in the next paragraph or two might not make sense, so I’m putting background knowledge to help you understand what I mean. An ideal civilization isn’t a utopia, a utopia is a world that presents an ideal aspect of a society far too extremely. Nothing worth being in a civilization is worth brainwashing millions of people, it should either come to them naturally or through their role models.
What AI does is try to become this utopia. This idea that the future does exist and is now, the idea that innovation peaked when a life form devoid of life was created. But as I said before, nothing worth building a society around is worth gutting humans of their humanity. The numbers and values that AI’s have for each word are meant to replicate the human experience, a tool people see as a new hyper-intelligent species are only ever trying their best to be human, and that says a lot about both the AI and the people who made it.
But even past that, what are the ethical uses of AI? That’s an interesting question, with one answer. The ethical use of AI is to never replace humans. AI has no place and no right to take the spot of humans from humans. A company contracts an AI to do a humans work, for a much higher cost, even if you remove the cost of that person’s job.
Humans take much less resources to support than AI, and AI is far less useful. While AI has benefits, such as counting and measuring things and increase human accuracy, it is impossible for AI to ever be more valuable and reliable than humans. The existence of AI is not a cancer, but it’s not a panacea either.
