Chapter Text

Dear Denia,

It's been a few weeks since I last saw you and you…. I want you to know, I think if I had known everything before, I'm sure Professor Mornye would've understood if I rescheduled and spent your birthday with you. Even if it wasn't actually your birthday. I do wonder what kind of cake you had in mind that night, Senior never told me after. There's so much I wish we could do to celebrate it properly next time. There will be a next time, right…?

Oh, I'm sorry if this seems out of the blue, Dr. Herssen suggested I try journaling my thoughts, and even said writing to you could help me manage some of my feelings… oh, I forgot to mention, Senior and President Lucilla suggested I try counseling, but I assured them I'm fine! I know they don't see me as a child, but sometimes it still feels like they do. I know they only have my best interest at heart. But I'm more than capable of handling whatever comes my way. I think I have partially you to thank for that.

Anyway, Dr. Herssen said even though we don't know when we'll see you again, it wouldn't hurt to write to you about what has been happening at Startorch Academy, so in a way, when you read these letters you can catch up on what you missed. Everyone else is doing alright, studying hard as usual and there's this lighter shift in the air, now that the threat of Aleph-1 is gone. Lynae and Chisa have been inviting me to do things outside of classes, like study groups and playing games at Mind Dive arcade. You know no one has ever come close to beating your record at Lahai-Roi Blocks! I asked Aemeath if she would try to get her top spot back from you, but said she was satisfied being first place for awhile and it was time someone else took that torch up. I haven't gotten a chance to speak to her much, but I think you two would get along really well.

I hope you don't mind that I write to you and won't feel too bad on what you missed out on while you were away. But I'll do my best to try to keep you up to date on what's been going on in Rabelle college and the entirety of Solaris.

Wherever you are Denia, just know that I do miss you and I hope I see you sooner rather than later, you owe me a slice of birthday cake after all!

Until we meet again.

Your friend,

Sigrika

Notes:

Hi! This is my first time writing something like this, the idea came to me during my work break, so I apologize it's short. I don't think most of these will be too long, but I'll keep it going as long as I can. I just wanted to write something for these two and my other idea (idol au) needs more planning out and I'm very slow when it comes to writing, so this will have to suffice for now. Thank you for reading. <3
