Work Text:
It was a quiet morning at the Pizzaplex. Roxanne was preparing her next look Monty was repairing his guitar and Moon?
Moon was in the Parts and Service area finally ready to separate from his brother and live a peaceful life. Everything was prepared. Henry was on the other side of the room while Moon lay on a gurney where repairs were usually done for most of the mall's staff. After a series of buttons were pressed and a microphone was placed at a suitable distance from his mouth, Henry spoke through the communicator. "Are you ready, Moondrop? Everything is ready and double-locked as you requested." Moon reacted to the simple words with a grunt and a "Yeah, yeah, I get it. Thanks for your services, old widower." Henry feigned ignorance and moved forward, then pressed the button, flipped the animatronic the bird, and finally left the room.
Moon begins to shut down, its fans slowing, and its vision blurs to the point of entering a trance-like state between power on and off.
Suddenly, the lunar animatronic is no longer physically present, but rather mentally at the center of its mind.
"Great. Now all that's left is to reach the 'little brother everyone loves.'"
Suddenly, Moon finds itself walking among thousands of sunflowers, arriving at a dark, pine forest. Sadly, the sun-inspired animatronic isn't there, so with a grumble and other words worthy of censorship, the animatronic continues on its way until it reaches a dark space where only the stars illuminate the sky. The ground is black, as if in some places there are bottomless holes, as if the earth might swallow you whole with one misstep. The sky is dark blue; the stars are few, but they are the only ones capable of illuminating the path to the destined, lost brother.
Moon, with a clearly tired and annoyed expression, walked along the illuminated path until he found the aforementioned creature curled up on the ground, seemingly unconscious.
With little gentleness, Moon woke him up. "Sun, wake up, you! Stupid twink!" The solar animatronic woke with a startle, and as a first reaction to the shock, the sun covered in his arms as he backed away. Moon felt confused. "Sun? Are you okay?" The sun looked at him fearfully and replied with a nervous smile, "Sun?! Who is Sun? I've never seen him before!" His gray pupils dilated, and his voice trembled. Moon responded worriedly, "Sun? This isn't funny. That's your name. That's you."
Sun, even more panicked, responds with screams and sobs: "There's no Sun here. In my life, I would never be that Sun, such a stupid and mediocre character. Why are you comaring me to him"
