Work Text:
Faith had always known she would wind up in the Overworld, in the academy with the humans. Admittedly, she hadn’t foreseen the dog. It was discomforting when the universe threw her a curveball like that, when she didn’t see something so clear coming. She wound up in a flat with three humans, who had all been together for a term before she appeared. And appeared was the correct term, since her and Judea’s teleportation plan did not quite work out perfectly, and she wound up directly in their flat. With the dog.
Robin was fairly offended that she had gotten past all the traps so easily, but considering Faith had foreseen this moment for her whole life, it was not exactly hard to do. Maybe she’d accidentally trip one next time she came in, to make her feel better.
Admittedly, if you wanted to prevent a fae, it wasn’t actually too hard. Just fill a room with iron. Luckily, iron reacted poorly with regular magical abilities, and especially those who enjoy teleportation, which was Chris’ speciality.
Jackie succeeded in all of their classes, which was promising in a dorm mate. And Faith knew she would go on to do great things. She’d seen it happen.
She tried not to tell the three of them about her dreams. People, especially those without the curse of prophecy, found it discomforting. Humans moreso. The fae were used to the natural abilities they carried, whereas humanity were merely taking their first steps into the understanding of magic, nature’s true blessing.
Still, Faith, Chris & Robin, they were all a good sign for humanity’s future successes.
