"Are we all ready to go to the trampoline park!" Everybody cheered. Well everybody but Legundo because he hates field trips. He sat next to Abolish, taking notes of his expression and his position of sitting. Abolish sat with one leg on the floor and a leg resting on top of the leg on the floor, hands folded neatly against his lap with that blank but calm expression he always has in class when taking careful notes of Ren's nonsense. Before he can stare for too long Abolish turns to him.
"Are you excited?" Legundo is startled at the sudden question.
"Oh, uh... Not really to be honest with you. Field trips make me nervous so i just stay home usually but i thought this would be better" Abolish understood the feeling. Not doing stuff with other people because it's awfully overwhelming.
"I understand that feeling, you're not alone" He moves one of his hands to hold Legundo's lightly shaking hand, keeping it still.
"Hey Abolish, what are you looking forward to the most?" Abolish paused to think of an acceptable answer that seems reasonable instead of switching the topic.
"It'd probably be playing dodgeball with Scott & Pyro or the slushies" That's an acceptable answer that nobody will question, right?
"What is your favorite slushie flavor?" Abolish doesn't want to answer that but tries to think of a respected answer.
"I like the blue ones, they make my mouth blue" Legundo laughed at that answer. "I like the blue ones too!"
They both laughed together. Abolish almost choked on his water when drinking because he found it so funny. Legundo laughed harder at Abolishes mistake. They continue laughing until Abolish falls onto Legundo's lap and they just stare at each other in embarrassment. Abolish looks mortified and like he wants to fall out of the earth all at the same time. He gets up, ready to apologize to his friend for falling on accident.
"I'm so so sorry, i-i-uh i can go sit with someone else and not disturb you" Legundo puts a hand on his shoulder to calm him down but it just makes Abolish even more worried.
"Hey. You're all good, i know it was an accident you don't have to apologize." Abolish looks shocked at the statement but stops apologizing anyways.
Meanwhile Pyro and Scott are arguing about who will hit Abolish in the face the most during Dodgeball. They always talk about that like it will magically make them hit abolish in dodgeball.
Drift and Apo are talking about the books they've been reading and their crushes recently.
Martyn and Sausage are roughly making out to pass the time.
Owen and Shelby are talking about how many mythical creatures they can name in a minute, Owen surprisingly wins.
"How do you know so many mythical creatures?!" Owen just shrugs and challenges them to a new round.
Cleo and Pearl are talking about werewolves and how strong they'd be if you gave them caffeine.
Compared to the other things Legs and Abolish have been through, today was light work on the weirdness. Legundo leaned in so that only Abolish can hear him.
"Do you think Scott and Pyro will hit you in dodgeball?" Abolish just smirks and nudges him lightly.
"No way on earth are they gonna hit me, not even the 2 of them combined can lay a finger on me." Pyro gets on his knees and looks behind him to confront Abolish. Scott joins Pyro on his knees.
"We'll DEFFINETLY hit you this time!" Abolish shakes his head and keeps a smug smirk on his face. Pyro and Scott get mad and turn around to discuss with each other how to hit abolish with the ball.
The bus arrived and abolish stood up, pulling his black messenger bag around his shoulder, the heavy water bottle weighing heavy on his shoulder. He stepped out of the bus, Legs following him shortly after. They finally arrived and it felt good to finally stand up and have exercise. He moved towards the entrance of the big building. He looked back to see Sausage and Martyn still making out, that's really gay.
He put his bag down on a bench and took his loafers off, moving them to the side with his bag. He looks over at Legundo who looks like he wants to disappear into the floor.
"It'll be okay" He lays his hand on Legundo's leg to hope to calm him down, it calms him down enough to be able to talk clearly. Legundo leaned in to whisper to Abolish.
"Have Martyn and Sausage been making out this whole time?" Abolish almost starts laughing again at the sudden bring up of that.
"I think so" Abolish and Legs start laughing uncontrollably at the stupid but true fact. Abolish has stupid classmates and he knew that by now. Owen and Shelby walked by, rambling about mythical creatures.
Drift and Apo we're talking about a book called "the inheritance game", interesting...That sounds like a pretty good book if they we're talking about it for soo long.
Cleo and Pearl we're sharing stories of how they almost died in Oakhurst.
Pyro and Scott we're really excited for dodgeball, so much so they sat next to abolish and rambled on how they're gonna hit him, not a very good idea talking about how you'll take down a vampire hunter right Infront of his face. They started walking over to the dodgeball arena and got set up. Legundo was the referee by request.
"3...2...1...Go!" Abolish picked up ball before Pyro and Scott could even flinch.
Abolish hit Pyro right in the face in the first minute of the match. There were other children there staring at this intense game of dodgeball, they were super fascinated in this 1 v 2 game that Abolish will win.
He suddenly dodged a ball next to his feet. Abolish picked the ball up and hit Scott with it instead. Abolish had won this very worthless match that was easy to win.
"I won!" He cheered in excitement as he has won and proven his friends wrong. He had a smug smirk on his face, like watching your least favorite person get a prank pulled on them.
"I'll get you next time!" Scott was mad at abolish for being soo good at dodgeball. Some other kids watched with their mouth's hanging open at how scary they were.
Legundo and Abolish walk more, making it to the main court with a bunch of trampolines. It looked super fun, like seeing someone jump into a pool on a hot summer day.
He grabbed onto Legundo's wrist and dragged him to 2 trampolines in the back, away from other kids that were clearly scared of both of them. He started jumping like it owed him something if he jumped enough. Eventually his ribs were starting to hurt form wrapping his bandages too tight that day.
He let out a soft ow as he moved to sit to the sides. Legundo noticed this and just gave him a slightly raised eyebrow but didn't say anything. Abolish returned the raised eyebrow with a slight smile of reassurance that he is in fact okay.
The day goes on until he tries his hand at basketball with Pearl. He throws the basketball into the net net and scores! That keeps happening until he gets exhausted and moves back to the trampolines to try and do a backflip on and lands on his wrist. A sudden jolt of intense pain goes through his wrist, it feels like being a string that got snapped in half.
He gets up to take a look at it. He could only stare in horror as he sees his wrist with a bone sticking out of it and blood everywhere. He tries not to throw up at the thought of Legundo seeing him break his wrist, even the thought of Legundo seeing his bones made him wanna dig a hole to get buried in.
"Uh, i gotta dip, I'll be back in a bit" He took off his jacket and wrapped his wrist in it to avoid people seeing it.
He stumbled over to Ren, unwrapping his wrist to reveal the absolutely shattered state it's in.
"Ren... I think i broke my wrist." Ren looked flabbergasted when he held his wrist up.
"We gotta go tell somebody doncha' know!" The thought of his classmates seeing him like this made him feel sick. Instead they walked over to the front desk.
"My student here broke his wrist" The dude at the front desk wasn't convinced until Abolish held up his bloodied wrist.
The dude stuttered for a response. "I-uh- I'm gonna tell a nurse" Ren looked proud of his chaos child for telling him. The dude ran away to go find a medical professional a bit ago.
"How did you manage to make such a clean cut?" Abolish just shrugged.
"I was jumping and then i fell on my wrist. It hurt a lot so i looked at it and i saw that it was clearly broken so i came to tell you." Ren looked like a very proud father.
"I'm gonna call your dd if that's okay." Abolish nodded and gave him a thumbs up.
Legundo came over to see the commotion. Right as he was about to say anything he noticed Abolish's wrist looked a bit different... A lot more gory if you ask me. Ren discussed Abolish's state right now and noted that there was a lot of blood and bones, Morcant said he'd come to pick his son up in 15 minutes.
"Your dad said he'd pick you up in 15 minutes so get ready and get your stuff" Abolish nodded in comprehension.
"How on earth did you get an injury like that?" Legundo was impressed he managed to get such a clean break on a not very clean break prone bone.
"I landed on it like this, just ask my wrist that and maybe you'll get an answer that's better" They both started laughing uncontrollably at the idea.
A bit of time goes by as Abolish packs his stuff to get back to the manor, Legs helps him with his heavy bag and his water bottle with a bunch of cat stickers on it. He eventually meets up with Morcant and they go home.
Once they got back Morcant had a lot of questions but first he asked to examine his very very broken wrist. He almost fell backwards at the sight of multiple tiny bones in a tiny soup of flesh and blood with a very cleanly broken bone that didn't look painful at all.
"You're going to the doctor tomorrow, that's not up for negotiation by the way" Abolish nodded and walked away to bandage it so it didn't get infected or make it worse then it already looks.
He finds his bandages and starts wrapping his wrist carefully, trying to keep all of the little bones in place enough so it doesn't look like a 5 year old wrapped it. He finds his dad again to talk about his missions and his work load.
"Will i be able to do missions with my broken wrist?" Morcant looked very confused until he realized what his son was saying.
"No work work for a little bit, we gotta get that healed first" Abolish was disappointed at those words.
"Can i at least do a little bit of work?" He really wanted to do some paperwork at least.
"No more work" Morcant meant it when he said it that time.
Abolish got tired of his dad and walked off to text Legundo about this.
Abolish: My dad isn't letting me do work for a bit :(
Legundo: I think that's for the best.
Abolish: Nah, i really really want to do more work.
Legundo: I think it's best if you stop work for a bit, you need a break.
Abolish ignores him and tries to find stuff to do that won't hurt his wrist further.
