Work Text:
Geto gets his body back from kenjaku after gojo has been sealed in s2, but before he releases gojo from the prison realm, he has a few things he wants to say to him….
‘My six eyes tell me you are suguru geto, but both my heart and my soul know otherwise!’ Satoru shouted from where he was standing. His eyes filled with rage and hatred toward the person who was currently occupying his best friends body, and using it as his puppet.
Suguru wanted to scream, but instead he had to watch as his best friend got sealed away into the prison realm by the monster who was using his body. He felt utterly powerless in his own body. No matter how hard he tried to move, to stop or to do anything, he couldn’t. He just couldn’t. He watched as the cube slowly got sealed and secured. He had to get out. No, he had to get him out.

When the bright lights finally disappeared from Satoru’s vision, it dawed on him. His best friends body was being used and worn out all because of him. Because he was too weak to properly dispose of suguru’s body after he’d put an end to his life. His fault, it was all his fault. Suguru never deserved this. Not his suguru.
Not the suguru who was there when satoru was having a bad day, or would care for him when he came back injured or ill from a bad mission. The suguru who when they were still students, would never let anyone touch his hair exept satoru. Satoru had loved to brush and braid his long black silky hair even though he didn’t know how. Shoko had always loved to tease suguru about his hair after satoru had braided it about as well as a toddler.
His hair, his beautiful hair. It used to be so pretty but now that that thing was using suguru, his hair had become dull and looked messy like it hadn’t been brushed or properly taken care of in a long time. It made Satoru mad. He knew how much suguru loved his hair and taking care of it and now that was all gone…
He had to get out. No, he would get out,

Satoru didn’t know how long it had been since he was sealed inside his prison when he felt the cursed energy change. It was like a slow build up. He felt it getting stronger by the second. What the hell was happening on the outside world? Satoru thought. It got even stronger until suddenly, it stopped. It was neutral again but something was off. Something had changed. It wasn’t long before he got blinded by a beam of bright light. Satoru winced as it shone right into his sensitive eyes. As he got used to the light after being in the darkness of the prison for who knows how long, he looked up to find a small hole in the barrier of the realm that he had been sealed in. He could see the train station but the hole was too small to step through. All he could do was watch into the outside world.
He slowly and carefully stepped toward the hole. He could see a lot more now. And that’s when he felt it. He thought. The man standing in the train station who had sealed him in his cube was still standing there, but it was different.. he felt, different somehow? His presence felt lighter and more familiar, almost like. No it couldn’t be. There is no way suguru could have gotten his body back, he was long gone. The other man looked back at him, wide eyed. There were little beads of sweat om his forehead, like he had just done something really difficult. “Satoru” he breathed. The way he said his name felt like a gentle caress to his soul.
It’s him. It had to be him.” Suguru.” Satoru said, almost sounding like a plea.” Yes it’s me, i managed to break free from his grasp from within.” Suguru paused taking him in for a moment.” Oh satoru, what happened to you?” Satoru felt he was tearing up now. “ suguru, will you please let me out of here.” Satoru pleaded. He wanted to run to him, to be close to him, to grab him and never let go so he wouldn’t leave him all alone again.” Im sorry my dearest but i feel i have to explain myself first” suguru said, stepping closer to the hole in the cube.” I regret what i did all those years ago, i wanted to make a beautiful world for us to live in. Without all those filthy monkeys. But i realised when you were about to put an end to my suffering in that alleyway, that i hated not being with you. And I realised that i would much rather live in a messed up world with you, than live in a perfect world all alone.” Suguru said, the words meant directly to Satoru.
Satoru felt the walls of his prison fall down into the ground. He stepped forward and hugged suguru tightly, burrowing his face in his neck. He felt strong hand wrap around him ” I missed you too” he said into his neck, the words coming out as barely more than a whisper. And for a moment everything felt okay, he felt safe.
