Chapter Text
Felix sat feeling helpless.
His girlfriend had just cried her eyes out, again, over her own mother.
A mother that didn't know how to appreciate her daughter.
A mother that would rather tie her daughter down then help her feel like a person.
A mother like Gabriel Agreste no, worse than Gabriel Agreste. Ok equally as bad in different areas. But the same area? Whatever she wasn't a good Mom. End of story.
Felix was fuming to say the least. Kagami deserved better, much better than this. What could he do to help?
It's not like he had complete control over anything.
But, as he watched another set of tears flow fresh from her eyes, he was determined, determined to help his love.
He pulled her towards him embracing her tightly, she responded so quickly he felt like he couldn't breathe for a moment from how hard she squeezed his chest in her oncoming sob.
Maybe he could talk to Tomoe himself. He had a sneaking suspicion that wouldn't go over well but....what if....he brought backup?
Then there's Chrysalis. He had another sneaking suspicion that they were closer than they should be. He hadn't even dared to utter that to Kagami unknowingly, because, what if he was wrong? What if there was no correlation? Why break Kagami's heart further for no reason? He'd have to prove it if he was going to mention any of it because he wouldn't hurt his love like that. He almost wouldn't want to tell her even if it was true. He wanted to be honest though so if it was true he would tell her maybe she could break completely away from her mother.
Kagami breathed a little easier as her tears and sobs subsided, for the moment at least, he grimaced at that thought.
He knew as well as anyone that Tomoe was not to be trusted she'd been given second chances and it had hurt Kagami.
HURT.
Anyone that hurts someone he loves instantly loses some of his trust and will be on his bad side. For life.
He sits with that for a moment thinking his sunshine idiot, in the most endearing way possible of course, cousin is a small exception especially since he's done what he can to make everything right with Kagami. He also understands being controlled and not understanding why you're being controlled or who it is controlling you.
That sure was a sentence.
So yeah a pass for him. And Marinette too.
He was losing his train of thought thinking about those two dorks.
Felix sighed maybe Marinette wasn't too far from his plan anyway he supposed she was basically his only backup not that he'd really choose someone else, other than the addition of his cousin of course.
He looked down to notice Kagami's breathing steady and rhythmic. She's asleep?
Smiling lovingly he kissed her forehead, scooped her up gently, careful not to wake her, and laid her on his bed covering her.
Now for other matters to be settled, he had a few people to visit. And one he wanted to never see again but he'd have to for Kagami's sake. He no longer wanted to feel helpless.
