Strange Dream

Summary:

This story primarily revolves around the fantastical experiences of the protagonist, Dream. By chance, he dreams of DreamSMP (not exactly DreamSMP, but similar), triggering a series of events that lead him to encounters with superheroes, vigilantes, and villains. The narrative style may be somewhat unique; I initially created this story simply out of passion, so the themes and central ideas may not be particularly prominent.

Chapter Text

A loud crash rang out.

Dream scrambled to his feet, rubbing his head, looking like he hadn't slept well. What had happened last night had indeed taken him a while to calm down and fall asleep.

"That was a nightmare..."

"Was it really a dream?" This was no longer the question, because Dream turned his head and saw some strange words he had frantically scribbled on a piece of paper last night. Surprisingly, he could understand them.

This was actually a minor matter. In this world of superheroes and villains, what was impossible? Dream himself wasn't exactly a saint; he didn't want to get into trouble, and even his subconscious felt that telling the Security Council about this wasn't a good idea.

Just then, a knock on the door interrupted Dream's thoughts.

"Hey, Dream! What's wrong? I heard a loud bang. Don't tell me you tripped over a book again."

"Honestly, you really need to get yourself together and stop worrying about these troublesome things."

"Coming!" Dream quickly tidied himself up and opened the door. Sapnap and George stood in the doorway, immediately noticing the huge pile of documents in the room, and were both surprised. Dream was taking this too seriously; he explained it was just a recurring childhood dream. His friends were willing to help him, but worried that if he kept going like this, Dream would eventually get sick.

His thoughts were interrupted, and Dream decided to put it off for now. He didn't want his friends to worry and cause a mess.
