The moment between a bullet leaving the barrel of a gun and it hitting the target is practically nonexistent.fate is determined less by the shot and more so the aim and trigger pull.someone's index finger curls and BAM.zero time to ponder. practically no time too react.
That red-hot truth enters right into Jett at her shoulder and then another glances as her abdomen.both on her right side which conveniently incapacitates her shooting side before she even realizes she's been shot.the air goes thick and heavy in her lungs.
The comms blew up with swears particularly from a certain British pretty boy she loved and a certain poisonous snake,the ringing in her head however makes it hard too decipher what exactly their saying but some back and forth tells her that they are arguing about something.
The pain burns her like a hot knife through butter. her blood leaks across the pavement where she's taken cover.everyone(at least at the protocol )has been shot before obviously.its just that the downtime is usually long enough to forget how painful it is too get shot. She's not exactly happy for the reminders.
The next seconds feel like hours as it gets more and more difficult to keep her eyes open.she collapsed too her knees the minute she was shot.falling now however is no different then suicide now.
A flash of orange suddenly comes into view as Jett raises her ghost in her left hand more so in desperation rather then any kind of form.
"Woah woah woah!.relax it's me bruv"phoenix shouts jett slowly lowers her ghost.her back is now pressed on the wall.
"Is that you pretty boy?" Jett slurs as the ghost hits the ground with a heavy tap.
Phoenix quickly looks around as he peeks he's met with gunfire as he says "bloody hell!"Phoenix dives back into cover as he uses his wall for cover as he sprays through the wall with his phantom until it runs dry as he then approaches jett
"Alright now don't die on me now mate" phoenix says comfortingly as he tries too help Jett stop the bleeding even ripping off some fabric from his jacket.
"hehe Worried for me pretty boy?" Jett says with a watery smile
That smile always drove him insane especially now considering his best friend(and crush)is now bloodied and on the verge of death right in front of him as he raises his hand to his earpiece as he practically yells into it
"JETT'S DOWN! skye can you get over to A site right now?" Jett couldn't exactly hear Skye's response but based on the fact that phoenix immediately swears as he lowers his hand from the earpiece tells her that Skye's answer was not what he wanted to hear.
Phoenix breaths in and out trying to calm himself as he says "can ya move?"
Jett answers but her words are barely above a whisper as she says "I don't think I can pretty boy..."
Phoenix then makes a split decision he drops his phantom and props Jett onto his arms holding her close and lifts her up bridal style
"Alright now just keep your eyes open for me yeah?I'm bringing you home alright ya hear me?" Phoenix says worry laces every word he says as jett just nods weakly settling into his warmth
Phoenix starts walking as his comms chime it was the snake herself.viper as she says "phoenix status how's Jett doing?me and cypher just took the last of them.we're heading back to the vulture right now"
"Good.tell skye to prep her berries yeah?jett's on her last legs" is all that phoenix replies as he keeps on walking as he quickly checks jett's pulse.....his heart sinks he could barely feel something as he starts running as fast as he could but then...he stops as he feels something touch his cheek as he looks down.jetts hands were on his cheeks as she musters up everything she's got left as she says
"Love you....pretty boy"
As her hand drop along with phoenix's heart as he runs as fast as he says nah nah nah don't do that to me mate!as Jett finally slips from conscience as she falls into a slumber

Many many hours later
Jett feels like shit as she wakes up.her mouth was dry as a dessert as she rubs her eyes as the light of the infirmary attacks her eyes. as moments later sage comes up to her and puts a thermometer into her mouth.......the results seem good? at least she thinks so as sage sighs relieved as she takes the thermo out.
"She should be stable enough now i shall go and get her some food and water ok". sage says to the person sitting in the plastic chair next to her bed as she leaves
As the doors close
Jett looks to her side and low and behold her favorite pretty boy was right there sitting all worried for her.she liked that he always worried for her at times like this but....she'll never admit it.
Jett smiles as she says "morning pretty boy were you just sitting there all worried for me?aw-"
"Did you mean it?"
He cuts her off voice sounding a lot more serious then usual as she stops and just looks at him confused and maybe just a little bit nervous as phoenix RARELY talks with his serious voice and last time she heard it-
"Crap sorry mate I didn't- alright I didn't mean to startle you with my question.if you want me to leav-"
Now it's jett's turn to cut him off as she asks him "mean what exactly?"her voice soft
As phoenix replies with when you said and i Quote
"Love ya pretty boy"
He smirks.jett likes his little smirks but not- not at a time like this!she knows her face is as red as a tomato right now and she can't deny it any further she buries her face into her hands as she practically screams into them utterly embarrassed as phoenix covers his trap trying so hard to not laugh but fails as he starts giggling like an idiot
As his laughter dies down he looks at her straight in the eyes his fiery orange eyes meets her sky blue ones as he asks again absolutely serious
"Alright I'm serious now Jett no more hidin' alright....tell me...do you actually lo- like me?like I get it if it was in the heat of the moment kind of"-
"I do"
Jett replies cutting him off as she leans in and kisses him straight on the lips it took a second but he answered in kind as they kissed passionately as they break apart due too their need for oxygen as their foreheads touch
"Love you love you so much pretty boy"
"Love ya too wind girl"
They kiss again even more passionately.... until the door suddenly opens as they immediately break apart and see sage at the door along with a couple of other agents behind them as they freeze....until
"Awwwwwwwwwwwh!"
Jett could hear neon squeil along with killjoy and raze as she could also hear yoru's laughter behind them as brimstone walks in as he shakes his head as he laughs lightly
"Hehe uhmm did we interrupt something?"
"Looks like you two will have a lotttt of explaining to do killjoy says smiling ear too ear"
Jett stammers as she says "I uh wait!it's not-"but suddenly phoenix leans in and kisses her on the cheek as he leans into his chair as he says "relax wind girl I'll do all the talking alright"
PHOENIX!
Jett slaps phoenix's shoulder as she starts pouting as laughter fills the room
