Chapter Text
It's Brandon's first day at his new school. He had been transfered to this school due to being adopted by a nice woman. His father was a great parent and husband, but when his mother passed away he wasn't very much pure than before.
It still haunts him, he does miss his father now. But he was told that his father will no longer be able to parent him as he was needed to be adopted. And this lady was the one that had chosen him.
Brandon grabbed his very own necklace that had a cross, it was green. It made Brandon feel a bit safe. He was still nervous and anxious of his new mother. He took off his yellow pajamas and wore his usual black-yellow hoodie and baggy pants. He slowly went to the kitchen.
A woman with bright, pink hair, was making breakfast.
"Hm? Oh, Brandon! You're awake."
She was so kind to him. He remebered her name would have been Rebecca, or something.
Brandon sat on the wooden chair that felt more comfortable than it was in his old home. Rebecca grabbed a plate of pancakes served with honey and butter on top.
"I heard it's your favourite. I hope you like it"
She had a gentle smile. She looked not more than 30, maybe over 20? Who knows.
"Thank you.. Miss er.. Rebecca?"
Brandon said akwardly, his cheeks became pink from embarrassment. She put a hand on Brandon's shoulder.
"You can call me your mother, I will always take care of you."
Brandon left the car by unbuckling his seatbelt and opening the car door. Rebecca also did so. She had to find his new room first, then she could be tension-free from knowing he is in his designated class.
They both went to a office. The teachers there helped with Brandon's new room. Brandon was holding his new mother's hand the whole time. He was still so short even at the age of 15. He looked like a little toddler but that didn't natter now. He was worried of his new class. He was gonna meet so many new faces. He just hoped he would get new friends other than having none just like the last school.
They arrived at the right class. Rebecca let go of his hand.
"Alright, Brandon. You should go to class now. I need to go work, I will be right back to pink you up after school. Okay?"
Brandon nodded. His trust for Rebecca was building up and it was good.
Rebecca smiled warmly. She walked off to the exit.
Brandon entered his new classroom. The teacher still wasn't here. It was a bit noisy but it suddenly had less noise when Brandon came in. Some stared right at him and whispered to eachother. Feeling embarrassed, Brandon quickly took an empty seat that caught his eyes not even realizing he was sitting right next to someone. He looked at his side, accidently having eye-contact with the student next to him. He gulped, he became so scared to the point he wanted to cry.
"Uh, hey. My name is Brandon.."
Brandon stammered out stuttering slightly. Oh god, that was so formal. Brandon wanted to jump off the window already.
She glanced at Brandon. Something about the boy made her think he would be a great friend.
"Name's Brie!! It's nice to meet you!"
Bkinger raised her hand infront of Brandon, inviting him to be her friend. Brandon's cheeks became a bit pink again. He slowly shaked his hand with the other's.
"You seem soo cute!! Ozo and Sony might like you."
Bkinger said. Brandon didn't even know who they were.
A random student looked back. He had blonde hair with purple raccoon tails. He seemed really cool in Brandon's perspective.
"You called?"
The other boy said while also looking at Brandon. When he looked at Brandon, he swore his heart skipped a beat. What was happening to him? No way he liked a student that just transfered here.
"You HAVE to be friends with him, Ozo!!"
Brie clarified, this made Brandon clear on who Ozo was. He really like how Ozo looked. He felt butterflies in his stomach when Ozo looked straight at him. Oh no, he can't like boys. That's a sin. Brandon tried to speak but he could only open his mouth and close after.
Ozo sat in a way so that he was facing Brandon.
"Oh, heyy.. What's your name?"
Brandon's throat felt stuck.
"I think he's a bit nervous. It's alright Brandy, take your time"
Bkinger lightly teased Brandon but reassuring him that he was safe here.
"What was that."
Ozo said, not asked. His tone suddenly changing from being completely interested in Brandon to being a bit annoyed.
"What? Just gave him a small nickname. Isn't it cute?"
Bkinger said slyly, she could read Ozo like an open book, they had been friends for years. And Bkinger knew very well now that Ozo had sonething for Brandon.
Feeling the tenshion in the air. Brandon said his name to Ozo, it somehow made Ozo less angered. Did Ozo really want to be his friend? He thought he shouldn't deserve better.
"Fine.. We could be friends in one condition.."
Bkinger perked up from Ozo' statement.
"No, Ozo. You're NOT going to do the same thing you did to me."
"You're gonna be my new rival."
Ozo said smirking a bit. Bkinger face-palmed, she pretty much cringed to it when Ozo does this.
Brandon looked around, getting confused.
"Me? Rival? What does that mean.."
Of course. Brandon had no idea what that meant. His father made him educated with only academic studies instead of alsp teaching general knowledge.
"Whatever, you will know sooner or later."
Ozo said finally before sitting back normally.
"It's alright Brandon. He's like that, he will become your friend in not time, just beat him in his stupid challenges."
The teacher came and all the students went silent. As obvious, the teacher laid his eyes upon Brandon.
"Hey, you. Stand up."
The teacher looked strict, it made Brandon a bit scared. He obeyed his teacher immediately and stood up straight.
"What's your name?"
"B-Brandon-"
"Okay. Sit down."
That was so awkward for Brandon. He quickly sat back as he was said so. The teacher started writing some math equations on the white board. Brandon grabbed his notebook out and wrote whatever there was on the board.
The teacher began explaining. It was boring, math class was always boring for Brandon. He scribbled and drew some cute doodles of cats and some other animals while pretending to listen to his teacher.
"You also find this boring? Ozo likes maths for some reason tho."
Bkinger whispered, she also wasn't paying attention the whole time. She was secretly scrolling in her phone under the desk. Brandon nodded quick, not wanting the teacher to catch them talking. Bkinger's eyes noticed his drawing.
"Wait, that's actually so good!"
She pointed the drawing on his notebook.
"Ah- It's nothing! It's the least I can do."
"Hm. You wanna have lunch together with me and my friends today?"
Brandon was a bit surprised, he agreed. He would love to have friends.
