- Chapter 1-
Buck just got off at 48 hour shift and all he wants to do is shower and get into bed. Buck heads out from 118 fire station and gets into his jeep. He looks at the time and it’s 7pm. He starts up his jeep and starts to back out, his phone starts to ring, he looks at the caller ID “ Tommy ❤️”. Buck rolls his eyes and groans and picks up the call
Buck- hey Tommy what’s up?
Tommy - hey babe, you heading home.
Buck - Yea, I’m about to head home. Shower, eat and relax since I got the next two days off.
Tommy- well do you want some company honey?
Buck- honey, i love you but I’m really not up for company. I just want some alone time to relax, maybe tomorrow we can do something.
Tommy- whatever Evan, I will talk to you later. Bye
Before Buck can even say something, Tommy hung up on him, Buck rolls his eyes and just puts on some music.
20 mins later Buck is arriving at his house.
Buck gets out the jeep and grabs his bag, he walks to the front door. When looking for his house key, he notice it was missing. Buck slaps his forehead and forgot he gave Maddie his key and he hasn’t had time to get it back from and Maddie was at work. Then remembered that Eddie has a spare key to his house. Buck pulls his phone from his pocket while he sits on porch. Buck scrolls through his contacts and finds “ Eddie ❤️” and he press the call button and puts it on speaker.
The phone rings about 2 times and Eddie picks up.
Eddie- go for Diza
Buck- hey man, ummm I need a favor. Please don’t laugh.
Eddie- * starts laughing* what did you do now Buck.
Buck- I forgot I gave Maddie my house key and I havnt seen her, now I can’t get into my house. I was wondering if you could come over and let me in. I could order us a pizza and I got beer here.
Eddie- Yea man, I can do that. See you in 15 mins dude
Buck- see you man.
Buck orders pizza and it will be here in 30 mins.
Buck lays on the porch waiting for Eddie to pull up.
15 mins later Buck hears a truck pull up and it’s Eddie.
Eddie step out the truck while laughing at Buck. “ you know man, this is the funniest shit that has happened and I can’t wait to tell the firehouse about it”
Buck just rolls his eyes” just open to door dumbass, I’m tired and I need a shower and so do you”
Eddie pulls out the key and unlocks the door, then walks in the house while Buck is behind him.
Buck tells Eddie, hey I’m going to go shower, pizza should be here in about 15/20 mins. Eddie nods his head and heads to kitchen to grab a beer, then sits on the couch and turns on the Tv.
Buck runs off and takes a nice hot shower, about 15 mins later he steps out the shower and wraps the towel around his waist. He goes into the bedroom and puts on some sleep shorts and a tank top then walks into the living room. He notice that the pizza has just got here, since he just heard Eddie shut the door. Buck heads to the kitchen and grabs him a beer and a water, along with one for Eddie as well. He heads back to the living room and sits on the couch, Eddie and bucks starts eating pizza and talking about their day at work. Next thing you know Buck hears his phone go off, he grab his phone and sees it’s Tommy again. He just lets the phone go to voicemail . Eddie looks at Buck
Eddie- hey dude, everything okay?
Buck- yeah, it’s just Tommy. He wanted to come over tonight, but I’m beat and just wanna relax. He got mad when I said I didn’t want company and called me Evan
Eddie- I’m sorry dude, do you want me to get out of your hair so you can relax??
Buck- no no you are good!! Tommy is just going to cause issues and I don’t wanna deal with it right now.
Eddie- alright man, well I’m going to go shower right quick. See you in 15 mins. Eddie heads to take a shower
Buck watches Eddie go down the hall way, thinking to hisself… why am I in love with my best friend.
Buck lays on the couch while waiting for Eddie to get out the shower and he hears his phone goes off again. He sees his Tommy once again, he picks it up. Before he can say hello, he hears something in the background. “ unknown- dude how long are you going to keep him around?
“ Tommy- I’m not sure, I’m getting tired of his ass anyways. He doesn’t wanna see me after a long shift. He’s so clingy all the time, when we are together. All he talks about is Eddie this and Christopher that.
“ unknown- yea, but anyways since I’m here you wanna get lucky”
“ Tommy- oh you bet, even Evan doesn’t give out like he used to”
Buck hangs up the phone while his heart just shatters. His own boyfriend is cheating on him and he just heard everything. He hears Eddie walks into the living room, he quickly wipes his tears away and sees Eddie . Eddie immediately sees bucks been crying and sits next to him and ask, “ what’s wrong. Someone hurt, someone died” . Buck looks at Eddie and breaks down into tears, Eddie wraps his arms around Buck and says “ let it out man let it out, it’s okay”. About 5 mins later, Buck looks at Eddie and says “ Tommy cheated on me and I am not sure how long he’s been cheating on me. He butt dialed me and I heard everything… what did I do wrong” Eddie looks at bucks, “ nothing dude, you did nothing wrong. You just fall for the wrong people and you just get hurt. It’s going to be okay, what about tomorrow you, me and Chris go to the zoo. Would you like that?” Buck smiles and nods his head and says “ I would love that”. Eddie loos at Buck and smiles then says” I’m going to be honest dude, I think the whole 118 is going to be happy that Tommy is gone. We honestly didn’t like him, but we liked him for you”. Buck laughs and throws his head back then says, “ well, I’m not sure how to tell everyone that I’m single again” Eddie looks at Buck and says “ tell them when you are ready” Buck looks and smiles then say “ I will, but can you stay the night. I don’t wanna be alone tonight” Eddie gets off the couch and reaches for bucks hand and says “ let’s go to bed, we are both tired”. They both head to bucks room and get into his king size bed, Buck looks at Eddie, says “ goodnight man, I appreciate you so much. Eddie nods his head and replies “ no problem man, get some sleep. We need it for tomorrow”.
