Work Text:

Loki arrived at Malfoy Manor to visit his lover, Draco. He walked up to his room and entered, “Hello, love.”

“Loki.” He popped up from his bed and kissed him. “What brings you here, my darling?”

“I have a special book for you.” He pulled out a black, ornate book. “It’s called the Darkhold.”

“Darkhold?” His brows furrowed at the title as he took it. “I feel dark magicks from this.” He glanced up at him. “Is it a grimoire of sorts?”

“Yes, it is. Very good, Draco.” He praised his lover, who preened before his eyes widened as he felt some of the magics seep into him. “Let it consume you, and we shall rule the multiverse!” Loki raised his sceptre in delight as Draco’s hair grew black.

“Loki, this is how my Aunt Bella must have felt,” Draco’s smirk blossomed. “Shall we sit and look at this together?”

They sat down, opened the book and started reading the spells within it. They shared grins at some of the spells that would be useful for them.

“Well, my love, what would you like to start with?” Loki bumped his shoulder.

“Hmm…maybe create a bit of havoc in both worlds?” His sneer grew. “Shall we go to Diagon Alley or someplace else?”

“Or a magical village?” Loki tilted his head.

“It’s a grand idea, but no students around to get caught up in the dark magicks,” Draco replied. “Let’s do Diagon Alley near the Quidditch Shop.”

“Brilliant idea.” Loki gave him a swift kiss, and they started enjoying it too much as the book slid off their laps. “Oops.”

“Let’s wait until tomorrow, anyway, because it’s best to do it around midday.” Draco glanced outside. He closed the book and placed it on the chair near the window.

“Are you sure?” Loki wrapped his arms around him, nuzzling his neck. He felt the nod. “Perfect.” He continued to kiss him and pushed Draco down on the bed. They enjoyed each other immensely for the rest of the night until they fell asleep holding each other.

The next morning, they got up, threw on their best clothes and stored the book in Loki’s coat. Draco and Loki went downstairs for breakfast with their parents.

“What happened to your hair, Draco?” Lucius’s brows went up.

“Oh, Loki decided to colour it. Isn’t it lovely?” He smirked.

“No.” Narcissa shook her head. “It reminds me of Sirius Black like that.” She sighed at her lost cousin. “Do be careful today.”

“We will, Narcissa.” Loki gave her a reassuring pat on the hand. “Are we ready, my love?”

“Where are you two going?” Lucius enquired.

“Oh, just down to Daigon Alley to look at the brooms.” Draco got up from the table.

“I just got you a new one last year.” He huffed.

“Sorry, I wanted to show Loki the Alley.” He rebutted.

“Wouldn’t Knockturn be more his speed?” Lucius quirked his brow.

“Knockturn?” Loki eyed Lucius.

“It’s for the dark wizards,” Draco answered for his father. “We may go there later.” He grabbed Loki’s hand. “Talk to you later.” He walked them out to the apparition point and popped them in front of Gringotts. Draco pointed to Knockturn Alley, “That’s what Father was talking about.”

“Ah. Maybe later, after some fun.” Loki pulled out the book as they walked down Diagon Alley.

Suddenly, Doctor Strange appeared in front of them. “I’ll take that.” He put a shield around the book as he levitated it to him.

“Hey, that’s ours.” Draco pulled out his wand as Loki tried to pull it back with his magic, but as quickly as Doctor Strange came, he disappeared with it. “No!”

“Damn it. I should have realised that others would be looking for it.” Loki got mad at himself. “Sorry, love.”

“It’s okay,” Draco sighed as he felt the magicks start to leave his body. “I’m blonde again, aren’t I?”

“Yes, you are. Do you still want to show me around here?” He waved his hand around the area.

“We can, or we can go down to Knockturn to see what Borgin and Burkes have?” He smirked at him. “He has loads of dark artefacts.”

Loki did an about-face and grinned widely, “Shall we?” He held out his hand. “Maybe we can find something to use in the bedroom?” He waggled his brow.

Draco blushed at finding a toy while grabbing his hand. “Salazar.” They walked down the alley for a fun afternoon.
