The Great Westerosi Baeke-Off (named by the Targaryen Television Corporation, the company that funded the show) was in its first series. They’d hired one of the Chefs at the Red Keep to Judge, Calla, along with Orys, a famed bread baker in the Crownlands. The crew was a mixture of staff mostly hired from other TTC productions.
Including Lacey Rivers, a skilled camerawoman who had as secretive a past as Calla. Not that Calla remembered much of her past. So, it wasn’t really a secret. Just a mystery. A mystery Calla would rather leave that way, thank you very much.
Even if the contestants found having such a young judge strange, no one could really question her culinary skills.
Calla liked the show, anyway. It was better than the heat of the Red Keep, despite the fact they didn’t let her cook. It was so wonderful to see what everyone cooked themselves! And, she liked Lacey. They’d gotten closer over filming. It was nice to know someone outside the kitchen.
