Work Text:
Christmas songs blared throughout the house, as most of the girls tended to the halls that needed to be decked. Barb, on the other hand, stumbled her way towards the living room. Her plan, foolproof. If anyone asked, she was supervising. She bumped into a ladder, her drink nearly slipping out of her hand.
"Barb!" Jess held onto the banister as the ladder shook. "Could you please stop drinking and help for a change?"
She looked Jess's project up and down, "it's crooked." They exchanged annoyed looks. "What? I'm helping." She laughed, noticing the mistletoe. "Jess, come here."
Reluctantly, she obliged her inebriated friend. "Yes, Barb?" Her senses were caught off by a pair of liquor soaked lips pressing against hers. The kiss lingered. Jess would go on to blame the alcohol she tasted for this, but she clear headed when she allowed Barb's tongue in her mouth.
She moaned, just before Barb pulled away. "How's that? Helpful enough?"
Her cheeks blushed, "and what sort of help is that?"
Barb clicked her tongue, "testing out the mistletoe, duh!" She sauntered off, glancing back to make sure Jess was still looking at her.
She was. For a time she considered far too long. Lost in thoughts of kissing a girl for the first time. And not knowing it would be the last.
