Chapter Text
“CUT!”
The director yelled aloud before going up to the set with a grin.
“Good work today, boys, that about wraps it up for filming,” He said as he patted the shortest one on the shoulder.
They looked at each other with a bit of confusion. It wasn’t often they got to leave at such a time, it was still somewhat early with time to spare.
The director walked off the set and went to talk with the rest of the crew, making sure everything was ready for tomorrow's filming of the episode.
“Huh, we usually don’t get off this early,” Peter said as the group began to leave off of the set with each other, walking in step.
“You think they’re about to fire us?” Micky joked as Davy teasingly elbowed him in the side with a smirk.
Micky feigned hurt, covering his ribs with his hands, along with a not very convincing “Ouch!” Micky couldn’t help but giggle a little while acting.
Mike rolled his eyes at them with a light smile he couldn't hide.
“What do you think we should do with all this off time?” Peter wondered, mostly to himself rather than the group.
“I say we all go back to our homes and sleep. My head's been achin’ since the beginning of filming,“ Mike said with little enthusiasm, rubbing his forehead with a mostly performative groan.
“Why don’t we go out and grab some food?” Davy chimed in. Maybe a nice, somewhat ahead of schedule dinner would be a good outing idea for them all.
“Ah, can’t tonight, man. I’ve got a date,” Micky tried to say with nonchalance, but couldn’t help but seem a bit prideful about it.
They all perked up, kinda surprised since it had been a while since Micky went on an actual proper date with a girl.
Peter seemed curious, wanting to ask a question or two. Who was she? Where’d micky meet her? Could he come along and eat for free, too?
Davy was already ready to poke fun at his friend, but he did feel a little pride knowing he had been the one to teach Micky so much about getting ladies. It was like seeing your son ride a bike for the first time. He swore he almost felt a tear.
Mike stayed quiet, he didn’t usually add anything to the guys’ girl conversations. He already had a wife and son waiting for him at home after all.
“Who’s the lucky man, micky?” Davy teased with a small chuckle.
”Yeah, nice comedic stuff, jones.” Micky brushed off davy’s attempt at humor with a smile.
“But she’s this real groovy girl I met the other week at a party. She’s got long dark black hair and these deep pretty eyes…” Micky said with an exaggerated dreaminess to his voice, ending the sentence with a satisfied sigh.
”She sounds nice, Mick," Peter chimed in, happy for Micky and his new love endeavor. Shooting him a warm smile, Davy doing the same, though his smile was still a bit smug.
“Yeah. Real nice,” Mike said quietly, not really paying attention to the talk.
They continued walking and chatting until they reached their dressing rooms at the end of the hall. All going off to their respective places, changing out of the bright red cartoonish button-ups they wore and back into their regular dress clothes.
Continuing to make small chat through the doors and walls as they got ready and fixed up their changing rooms for the day.
Filming was supposed to start fairly early tomorrow, finishing off the rest of today’s episode's filming, then most likely getting the script for the next episode, episode 9.
The group finished up changing and got ready to leave, saying goodbyes and such before all leaving their separate ways.
Davy and Peter going off together for the early dinner they talked about before, Mike grabbing his bag before heading out to his parking spot, and Micky finishing up a few things before he left.

Mike stepped outside to his car, bag slung over his shoulder, opening his car door with his keys before turning to look over his shoulder to the parking lot, hearing a familiar voice calling his name.
“Mike! Mike!” Micky ran over to him, waving with two hands as he rushed over.
“Mick?” Mike raised an eyebrow calmly, wondering what he needed, tossing his bag into the back seat of his car. Micky stood in front of him, hands fidgeting at his side as he spoke.
“I was wondering if you could give me a ride home? I was gonna go with Davy, but he’s already gone off with Peter, so I didn’t bother pushing…
You know, I’ve been noticing them going out more often than usual. I mean, last time-”
Micky always ended up rambling when talking. Going from one topic to another in a short time. It almost amazed Mike how quickly he could stray from the main subject of a conversation.
“I’ll drive ya’ home. just don’t be messin’ with the radio.” Mike interrupted Mick's rambling, ducking down to get into the driver's seat. Micky went over to the passenger, hopping into the seat before giving a wide grin to the older man as he buckled himself in.
That damn smile, Mike thought to himself. It was that smile that made him feel funny whenever he saw it, The same smile that made him wonder what was causing his heart to race. It was that foolish smile that made Mike trip over his own feet.
He tried to clear his thoughts, he was getting lost in his mind again. Thinking of Micky did that to him a lot.
Mike gave Micky a small smile back before shutting the driver's door and putting his key in, starting his car up with a roar from the engine.
Micky didn’t live that far from Mike's house, so it wouldn’t be much of a hassle to drop him off on the way. They both only lived about an hour away from the shoot. Mike looked over his shoulder and pulled out from the parking spot, beginning their journey back home.
