You and Stelle are laid down in her room on her newly acquired ship, wrapped around each other after a long day chasing after Sparkle’s dolls on the ship. The sky outside looks beautiful. The scenery of the Golden Hour never fails to disappoint. The dark night sky decorated with the various colored lights coming from the buildings down below has really grown on you since arriving in Penacony. And the stars in the sky shined brightly adorning the sky around The Trailblaze’s Stern. But the one that shown brighter than all the rest was your Star, wrapped in your arms quietly snoring.
Your Entropy Loss Syndrome meant you couldn’t sleep the same way normal people did. When you slept, you could only sleep for a couple hours at most. Then you were ready for another full day. But, that did have its advantages. It meant that while laying here, with your arms wrapped around your Star, you were able to silently adore all her features.
You love laying here, wrapped by your Star’s gorgeous arms. You love her arms. Despite being strong and muscular, her arms are still soft. You love nuzzling your head into her soft arms and feeling her skin against yours. But at the same time, her arms are still strong. So strong that she could pull you in tight and give you the biggest bear hug of all time, keeping you so close it was like the two of you became one. And she isn’t afraid to hug you tight. She doesn’t treat you as weak and fragile in your human form like everyone else does. She knows you are a strong woman too and loves to give you big strong hugs that show you just how much she loves you.
And how much your Star loves you is a lot. It broke your heart to have her watch you die, and then to have to come back as SAM to fight her right after. But after she saw you die, she also got a whole new level of strength. She had a new purpose to her mission, to fight for the girl she loved. And fight she did, all the way to challenging one of the Ten Stonehearts of the IPC in order to try and uncover Penacony’s secrets in your absence.
And when she finally saw you alive again in front of her. She didn’t question your true identity, ask why you hid it from her, or show any look of betrayal. The first words that came out of her mouth were “Are you all right?” She trusted you whole heartedly. She trusted you completely. Just as you do her. She didn’t care about what you may or may not have hidden before or why you did it, all she cared about was that you were all right.
And as you lay there wrapped around your Star, staring at her face, you want to list everything you love about every feature on it. The part of her face you love the most is her hair. You love how she keeps it at a mixture between being clean, but also wild. She doesn’t throw her hair care out altogether, but she leaves it in a messy state and lets it flow naturally rather than forcing it one way or the other like most people do.
And that’s another thing you love about your Star. You love how open and free she is. She just does whatever she wants, not caring about what other people will think. Well, except for you. But you don’t really care what she does as long as she enjoys it. She may have some weird hobbies like dumpster diving, but seeing how excited she gets talking about the things she does just makes you happy as well.
Her ears also remind you of just how much you love this quirk of your Star. You love when she runs around and does whatever she wants without a care in the world. And when someone tries to call her out she sticks her fingers in her ears and just runs in the opposite direction going “la la la la la.” Laughing off whatever Karen was getting in her business and going somewhere she can do the things she loves in peace.
And her eyes. Your Star’s stunning golden eyes. You remember the first time you saw her golden eyes. Her eyes didn’t used to be that color. Something to do with the Stellaron must have made them become that way. But you love the color. They shine so brightly they warm your heart no matter how down you’re feeling. You remember the first time you saw her newly golden eyes back on that fateful day. You were shocked by them but not in a bad way. The golden eyes fit her very well, and you loved her even more because of them.
And you love her nose. Not because her nose was particularly beautiful in comparison to the rest of her, but because of the way your Star reacted any time you booped it. When you’d boop her nose, she’d make a light squeaking noise and her face would start to turn all red. And that just makes you want to do it to her even more, cause the way she squeaks each time you do it is unique, and it makes each one feel just as heartwarming as the last.
And of course, down at the bottom of her face, was a part just as lovely as all the rest. Whatever she puts on her lips tastes absolutely divine. It makes you want to kiss her over and over again just to get another taste of her. In fact, that’s exactly what you’re going to do right now. With your Star right in front of you, sleeping peacefully, you decide to leave one light peck on her lips. And despite the fact she’s still sleeping, you swear you can see a slight smile creep on her face as you do.
And the warmth just radiating from your Star as you hold her close. The Stellaron inside her emanates a slight heat from her body that can only be felt from up close. But the warmth from inside her makes being right next to her like this just feel like being home. The end of a long day, and finally getting to rest.
Speaking of long days, today has been a long day for the both of you. From defeating the Order to your celebration turned bomb diffusion operation, the both of you had done a lot today. In the end though, it was all worth it. Cause now you get to lay here together with your Star, and slowly drift off to sleep in her arms.
