Chapter Text
“Thomas I’m…” daisy bell hesitated. She has never discussed this side of himself with anyone. “I’m trans.” The atmosphere stiffened. No one was ready to say anything.
They were in Thomas’s room. The rooms wall paper was a bunch of old planks of wood, everything in the room seemed to be made out of wood or leaves. Daisy bell breathed in, if she wanted this to go anywhere she had to push through the sirens of anxiety in her head and re-introduce herself.
“My names daisy bell now, I would prefer if you referred to me as a-“ She paused while tears started to well up in her eyes. “Fuck I…I can’t do this….” Daisy bell paused for another couple seconds before reaching for the door.
“I believe in you, Daisy.” Daisy turned to look at her biggest supporter. “We got through the beginning of our relationship, we can get through this.” Thomas stretched out his hand, inviting Daisy to continue what she was saying.
Daisy accepted the invitation, she sat next to Thomas and squeezed his hand. “You can do this dude… uh dudette, sorry.”
“I would like you to refer to me with she/her pronouns. NOT WITH THE OTHERS.” Daisy didn’t mean for it to come out so loud, but emotions were high. “I’m not ready to tell them.” “Understandable, wanna continue talking about it,
or wanna play some Minecraft?”
Thomas was surprised and confused and more he would have to unpack when he was alone, but he was trying to be welcoming to his girlfriend. “The Minecraft.” For a handful of minutes they played Minecraft on the Xbox Caine gave them.
“I’m proud of you, I bet that was hard.” Daisy sniffled and turned her head away from Thomas. Thomas learned in and hugged Daisy. “You gotta stop hiding from me, ma- uh… girl? I’m sorry Daisy.” Daisy rubbed Thomas’s spiky hair. She rested her mouth on Thomas’s forehead and tears started streaming.
“T-thanks Tommy, I love you, you know? Thomas smiled, and for once he didn’t need to hold Daisy so tightly to keep her from running. “Well it’s getting late, I should probably get going.”
Daisy’s sobs had been calm for a while, so they were just sitting there cuddling.
Thomas and Daisy stood up. “Why go?” Thomas turned to his bed, which resembled a birds nest, and back to Daisy. Daisy smiled “sure why not.” Daisy was in Thomas’s bed. She didn’t mind, she trusted Thomas. He’s her boyfriend. They could feel each others breathe, it felt quite warm. They felt something they had felt multiple times before.
