Tea Time Teasing

Writer's Pride Month Bingo 2026

Deucalion was a busy man, a busy Alpha. Beyond his territory of Silver Lake, he also had his duties to the Magic Council to consider. Him and part of his pack were traveling most of the time, while he left his Right Hand in charge of the territory whenever an assignment pulled them away.

Needless to say, with all of these responsibilities, sometimes his social life suffered. So when he returned home to Silver Lake from a longer mission, having been told to take a couple weeks off after how intense it had been, he went about his daily business for about a week before he grew restless. Staying put didn’t become him. Most wolves were content settling down in their territory, but for Deucalion, the call to travel was strong.

His Emissary Marin suggested that he could use the time to visit the neighboring territories, tend to his social relations to the other Alphas. He liked that idea quite a lot. A change in scenery, spending time with the people he cared about, while still ‘taking time off’, as he had been ordered to. Apparently, his higher ups thought he was a workaholic. Marin’s smile told him she agreed.

It’s so good to see you again, dear. It’s been far too long.”

He smiled as he pulled his oldest friend, Talia Hale, into a tight hug. She laughed and hugged him back, rubbing her hand down his back to scent-mark him. Something he gladly returned.

How have you been?” Talia asked with a smile.

Busy,” Deucalion sighed. “Always busy, you know me.”

What you need is a mate to make you slow down your life,” Talia raised her eyebrows, the smile turning more teasing. “How are things on that front, Deuc? Still pathologically single?”

Deucalion scowled good-natured as he followed his old friend down the street. “It’s not like I am denying true love. I just haven’t met anyone who… can hold my attention.”

Your standards are too high,” Talia accused him with a playful smile.

They entered a cozy little café. The two of them went to the counter and Deucalion paused when he looked at the smiling face of the barista behind the counter. He was stunningly beautiful. The broad grin on his full, pink lips, the sparkle in his golden-brown eyes, framed by long lashes, his elegant fingers were tapping on the counter in front of him. Deucalion was cataloging the moles on the boy’s face when he cleared his throat and raised his eyebrows at Deucalion.

So—o, you wanna order something, or do you just want to stare at me?”

Pardon me,” Deucalion cleared his throat. “You are very… beautiful to look at. I think I’ll order a coffee and take a table with the most beautiful view in the house.”

Deucalion offered the young barista his most charming smile but the boy blushed and groaned. “You can’t just go around saying stuff like that! And in front of my aunt!”

Deucalion frowned, until Talia cleared his throat. “Deucalion, meet my nephew, Stiles.”

Nephew,”, Deucalion’s eyebrows went high up on his forehead at that.

Yeah,” Stiles grinned. “When a sheriff and a Left Hand love each other very much-”

Talia cut him off with a sigh. “Stiles’ father and Peter got married last year. I believe you missed the wedding due to a mission on Canada…?”

That had Deucalion nod slowly. He’d heard about that, of course. Had sent Peter a wedding gift too. He had heard about the way Peter had fallen in love with the sheriff of Beacon County, having worked closely with him to either eliminate threats or cover up the supernatural nature of them, until sparks flew. Peter had told him about the ‘pup’ that came with his new mate, though he had failed to mention that said pup was all grown up and also beautiful.

Don’t let Peter see you look at Stiles that way,” Talia advised, patting Deucalion on the back. “He is fiercely protective of his pup, you know.”

He needs to keep his nose out of my dating life or I’ll die as a spinster virgin!” Stiles yelped in frustration, then flushed and looked at Deucalion. “Pretend I didn’t say that.”

Deucalion smiled, somehow enamored with the boy already. This was not boding well at all. He cleared his throat and proceeded to order a tea and a pastry, with Talia doing the same. When their order was done, they took a table at the window, though Deucalion didn’t resist sitting so he had the perfect view on the counter. Deucalion watched the fluid way in which Stiles moved around behind the counter, serving customers with a smile.

That is a very dangerous way to be looking at the Left Hand’s son,” Talia pointed out. “Or at the sheriff’s son. Even worse yet when both of those happen to be one and the same.”

Deucalion tore his eyes away from Stiles and looked at Talia instead. “You’re right. Being the local Alpha’s nephew is most like a dangerous thing too, mh?”

Oh, I make it a rule not to get involved in my niblings or my children’s love life,” Talia lifted her hands and shook her head. “Malia – Stiles’ sister – is dating a kitsune, lovely girl. Derek is actually engaged to his childhood sweetheart Paige. Laura is currently courting a young hell-hound deputy with the sheriff station. I have no idea what Cora or Sloan are doing and I do not want to know.”

Mh, sounds like a wise decision, not getting involved,” Deucalion pursed his lips. “Is it working?”

Absolutely not,” Talia heaved a long sigh. “But I try anyway. Though, if you do want to make a move on my nephew, you should give Peter a heads up.”

...Ask his permission?” Deucalion cocked one eyebrow.

I would put a wolfsbane bullet in the Stepwolf’s ass faster than he could say anything,” Stiles declared as he suddenly plopped down next to Talia and stole a part of her doughnut. “Nobody is telling me who to date. But more as a… precaution? As a ‘do not tear out my throat when you see my hands on Stiles, it’s consensual’, or something. Because he is very over protective.”

So my hands on you would be consensual?” Deucalion raised his eyebrows intrigued.

Talia cleared her throat pointedly and got out a pen, before writing something on a napkin. She tore the napkin in half, handing one half to Stiles and the other to Deucalion. On it was a number.

Stiles’ number for you, Deucalion’s number for you. Have this conversation… at any other point, a point where I am not anywhere near, please,” Talia requested. “But yes. Do give Peter a head’s up. There was a very handsy succubus last year and now Peter is a bit… hurt first, ask questions later, when it comes to people being in Stiles’ personal space.”

A handsy succubus?” Deucalion looked at Stiles in concern. “Are you alright, dear?”

It was nothing,” Stiles sighed, an embarrassed flush on his cheeks. “Like, seriously. Didn’t even touch me below the waist. The perks of going to the club with like half a dozen werewolves. There were claws in the guy before he had the chance to do any Bad Touch. Needless to say, dad and the Stepwolf still hovered and fussed unnecessarily.”

It wasn’t unnecessary, Stiles,” Talia frowned seriously. “Things could have gone south very easily. You’re a Spark, if the succubus had tapped into your magic-”

But he didn’t. I’m fine. I’m so—o fine,” Stiles groaned and tilted his head back.

Deucalion smiled and reached over the table to take Stiles’ hand. The boy looked up, meeting his gaze. When the blush returned, it was much softer. A Spark, mh? How very intriguing.

Stiles,” a blonde girl behind the counter called. “Get back to work, stop flirting with customers!”

Stiles pouted a little but he did get up. He tapped the napkin with two fingers, grinning.

Gimme a call, or text me,” Stiles ordered. “I am looking forward to it.”

You are making this visit very interesting for yourself,” Talia pointed out when Stiles left.

That had Deucalion hum. This had definitely not been part of his plans, but it was a very pleasant surprise. His eyes darkened as he watched Stiles walk back to the counter. Very pleasant, indeed.

Oh my gosh, you are so—o smitten,” Erica snickered as she hip-checked Stiles.

Stiles blinked and put his phone. “What? I am hard working. Totally concentrated.”

You practically have heart-eyes when you text with your Alpha DILF,” Erica smirked knowingly. “I did not expect you to go for an Alpha werewolf though.”

I didn’t plan to,” Stiles argued with a frown. “But the accent? The smile? The very open flirting? And yes, also the agitating Peter bit. That was fun. Dad just took it with a groan. Peter is like actively sharpening his claws around Deuc.”

Stiles snickered at the memory. He wasn’t gonna deny that he kinda relished in the overprotective dad mode. It was nice. It was also cute to see the ever so composed Alpha of the Blackwood Pack somewhat flustered at it. Stiles had to admit, he wouldn’t have hit on Deuc had he known who the man was. He had heard so much about the Blackwood Pack, about Talia’s old friend.

But he didn’t regret it, not one bit. Deuc was a gentleman, he was charming, attractive and he made Stiles feel… special. He listened to Stiles’ every word, looked at him like Stiles was the center of the universe. And the things Deuc talked about – his missions for the Magic Council – it had Stiles buzzing with excitement. He’d been kind of adrift since graduation, was working at the café to earn some money while taking a gap year to figure out what he wanted.

Speak of the handsome devil,” Erica patted him on the arm. “Your man’s here.”

Stiles looked up and he smiled when he laid eyes on Deuc. Taking off his apron, he pushed it into Erica’s hands, making her huff amused. He hopped over the counter and wrapped his arms around his boyfriend’s neck so he could pull the wolf into a kiss.

Hi,” Stiles grinned and rubbed his nose along Deuc’s cheek. “How was your meeting?”

Boring,” Deucalion sighed. “I know these meetings between all Alphas of the territory are good to build relations, but usually, if you put more than two Alphas in a room…”

Stiles snickered and pressed his nose against Deuc’s collarbone. “Says the Alpha of an Alpha Pack.”

Different,” Deucalion hummed. “They acknowledge me as their leader. And my pack has enough pack Betas staying back in Silver Lake to… balance things out.”

Now it was Stiles’ turn to hum. He leaned comfortably into Deucalion. All the stories of what Deucalion and the other Alphas in his Alpha Pack unit got up to – the communities they helped, the threats they eliminated, the places they got to see – it sounded so exciting. It was exactly what Stiles wanted too. He had accidentally found his dream job. Dad wasn’t overly thrilled when Stiles had announced he’d have a job interview with the Magic Council next week, but as a law enforcer himself, he was proud of the path Stiles had found for himself. If all went according to plan, Stiles would be on the Magic Council’s payroll and assigning to Deuc’s pack by the time Deuc left.

C’mon,” Stiles grinned and tugged on Deuc’s hand. “I have big date plans for you, mister.”
