Summary:

Enid Sinclair expected becoming a fully realized werewolf to change a few things.

Sharper hearing.

Better reflexes.

A stronger sense of smell.

What she didn't expect was the overwhelming urge to protect Wednesday Addams.

At first, it's little things.

Walking beside her.

Keeping an eye on suspicious students.

Growling whenever someone annoys her roommate.

Then it gets worse.

Because according to every instinct Enid possesses, Wednesday is part of her pack.

And Enid's wolf doesn't like sharing.

The worst part?

Wednesday secretly enjoys it.

Chapter 1: PROLOUGE

Chapter Text

The first sign that something was wrong was the growling.

Not the normal kind.

Growling was practically a second language at Nevermore.

Werewolves growled when they were annoyed.

Hungry.

Happy.

Confused.

Excited.

Existentially distressed.

This growl was different.

It slipped out before Enid even realized it.

A low warning rumble from deep in her chest.

Everyone at the table froze.

Bianca slowly lowered her fork.

Yoko blinked.

Divina looked concerned.

Wednesday looked mildly intrigued.

Enid wanted the floor to swallow her whole.

Across the cafeteria, a vampire student had approached Wednesday to ask something.

Enid hadn't even heard what he said.

All she knew was that he'd stood too close.

Far too close.

The growl had escaped immediately.

The vampire looked terrified.

Wednesday looked amused.

An awful combination.

"Interesting," Wednesday said.

Enid wished for death.

"What was that?" Bianca asked.

"I don't know."

"That sounded pretty intentional."

"It wasn't!"

It really wasn't.

That was the problem.

Ever since finally wolfing out several months ago, strange things had been happening.

Her senses were sharper.

Her emotions felt stronger.

And for some reason, she couldn't stop watching Wednesday.

Making sure she was okay.

Making sure nobody bothered her.

Making sure she came back safely whenever she disappeared into another mystery.

It was ridiculous.

Wednesday Addams was arguably one of the most dangerous students at Nevermore.

She didn't need protecting.

And yet—

Enid's wolf disagreed.

Strongly.

Wednesday tilted her head.

"Fascinating."

Enid immediately hated that expression.

It meant Wednesday was about to start investigating.
