Chapter Text
It was a quiet evening this particular day, the sun setting down on the mountain, which was home to 5 Clans, but that is also where Starling lived. He loved learning about the past and was quite bold. He lived with his family, or at least the rest of it. It was only him, his dad and his cousin Minty.
Starling was walking near the river, observing it just in case those horrible group of cats that call themselves 'GalaxyClan' have tampered with the water again. Starling was only just 3 moons old when his mother died due to the river being poisoned, alongside his uncle and aunt. His father Selkirk was furious at GalaxyClan alongside Starling's cousin Minty, both of the cats hunting down and killing a cat that was apart of GalaxyClan. If it were up to him, he would make every last cat suffer there, no way in whatever is any cat in that Clan sane. He wanted to explore as well but his dad kept him close to camp, which really annoyed Starling.
Starling looked at his reflection in the river, his curly fur was known to quite a few cats as a singular cat named 'Curlydapple' had quite a few kits, Starling being at least his great-grandson. He had orange curly fur, having darker orange near the top of his body, tail and face and a lighter orange underneath, silver eyes, some nice curly cheeck fur and some curly hair fur.
Starling wondered if he had kin anywhere else as Curlydapple was apprently from one of the Clans in the area, thankfully not from the horrid 'GalaxyClan' though. Apparently Curlydapple was in Clan called 'MossClan', although then he moved to another Clan but that's a story for another time.
"Starling!" Selkirk was calling him. Starling walked over towards his dad, hoping that he wasn't in some kind of trouble. "Starling I know you want to explore outside of our current home but those idiot and bloodthirsty cats will kill you on sight, so I can't risk it." Selkirk pale yellow eyes shone with worry for his son.
"Dad, I won't go near them at all plus I bet I could fight off 3 of them!" Starling dissmissed his dad, thinking that Selkirk was just being too over protective.
"No please listen to me son, I don't want you to die like your mother did, from them!" Selkirk said with worry, his claws being unsheathed at the metion of them.
"I hate to take sides but your dad is right, it is not safe to go out there alone." Minty spoke up. Starling usually thought of him as a cool cousin, somtimes like a brother Starling never had.
"Hah, you guys get to go out all alone and that's fine but when I want to I'm not allowed?" Starling questioned, being annoyed that he can't go out to explore alone.
"It is because you are 13 moons old, barely old enough in my opinion to live alone, I'm 98 and your cousin is 20 currently but we have more experience out there than you do young man." Selkirk responded with an impatient tone, waving his curly tail side to side.
"Well I don't care I'm going out either way." Starling responded back and ran out before anyone could respond. He ran as fast as he could, running in a random direction hoping that his family wasn't chasing him.

Starling almost ran into the river but thankfully stopped himself just in time. It was almost night and to be honest, he was scared of it. You could hear every little thing but that scared Starling. He slowly backed away from the river, making sure not to fall due to some small, loose rocks. Starling was about to enter the woods again until he heard a snap!
Starling quickly wipped his head around to the noise, seeing a single-striped brown cat with cyan eyes, some sort of wings and round ears, freckles and hair, small eyes and a long fish-tail. This cat looked like one of those 'GalaxyClan' cats but they didn't seem very dangerous at all which confused Starling.
"What are you doing here?" Starling questioned the cat with a confused look. The other cat was seemingly scared as they ran away as soon as Starling finished his sentence. "Hey wait!" Starling shouts towards them as he runs and follows them
Starling chased the strange cat through out this small forest until he finally launched himself at the cat. They tumbled through some bushes, Starling earing a scratch on his nose and ear. They tussled for a few minutes until Starling finally pinned them down.
"Why did you run away? I was trying to be friendly but then you had to run." Starling complained to the brown cat. From what Starling could see they were moving their paws a lot, like they were trying to say something. "Answer me!" Starling growled at them, which seemed to scare the cat even more. "Okay, can you even talk to me?" Starling questioned the cat.
The cat shook their head. Okay, they can't speak, Starling thought. "Are you from those group of cats who call themselves 'GalaxyClan'?" Starling asked more politely, to at least gain a little trust from the cat.
The cat nodded, Starling could tell they were in fear. "Ah great." Starling muttered under his breath. I could kill them but they could be a good hostage, Starling thought to himself.
"Okay, follow me strange cat or else." Starling said as he released other cat from his grasp, waving his curly tail side to side. He started walking towards the direction of his camp, sometimes sparing a glance backwards to check if the other cat was following behind. Starling hoped bringing a GalaxyClan cat would at least impress his dad.
