Chapter Text
It had been four years since Seungmins death.
Minho and Jisung had moved away from their old town as soon as they could, the memories were too strong and neither of them could deal with it.
Now, their house was located in a small village a few hours away where the neighbours were kind and everybody knew one another, it was like a dream come true for them.
They still visited their friends sometimes, but it was rare. It felt like there was something dark around that place, the couple were never happy there.
Minho was the stay at home wife, he ran a small bakery that the townspeople adored and came home after a days work and took care of the house.
Jisung on the other hand was always travelling, always away from home, it was rare he was with Minho anymore since 3RACHA had shot to stardom.
This didn’t affect their relationship at all though, in fact it made it even stronger. Everyone agreed the two were soulmates, including themselves.
Now 3RACHA was on a break for a few weeks before their next show and Chan had told Jisung and Changbin to go rest at home. Minho had excitedly baked a massive cheesecake and a million cookies for his husband and still felt like it wasn’t enough, but Jisung absolutely loved it, and even now they were still eating the same cookies a week later.
”These taste weird now.” Jisung commented.
”Are you insulting my cooking Jisung?” Minho replied, narrowing his eyes playfully.
”Yes, these are literally rocks with flavour.”
”I spend so long making my husband things to eat when he comes home and he doesn’t even appreciate them. Guess i’ll never bake again.”
”Stop being dramatic, I think they’re just out of date now.”
”Good point, maybe stop eating them.”
Jisung spat it out and sprawled across the couch, looking for the remote.
”So, how’s Changbin?” Minho rested his head on his hand, looking right at Jisung.
”He’s…” He sighs. “It’s complicated. I don’t think he’s over what happened yet, I don’t think he ever will be.”
”That’s fair, that’s fair.” Minho nodded. He hadn’t talked to Changbin in a while, he hadn’t really talked to anyone since he left. Their little group had fallen apart completely after Seungmins death.
"Me and Chan were trying to get him into therapy but it's not gonna happen."
"I wonder how the others are?" Minho wonders out loud.
"Chan? He's fine I mean-"
"No, like Hyunjin and Jeongin and stuff."
Jisung suddenly goes quiet, he missed his friends, he really did. No one had spoken in years, their group chat dry despite the occasional picture Jisung sends to try spark up a conversation that will never happen.
"We should visit them."
"Visit? We can't just go visit them, not out of the blue."
"Well I want everyone to know we're married!" Minho says proudly.
"We should at least warn them..." Jisung mumbles.
"When did you become so mature?"
"Shut up! Fine, we'll take a road trip. But I'm pretty sure everyone but Hyunjin left that god awful town."
"Hyunjins still there? Why?" Minho raises an eyebrow.
"I'm not sure, but he said something about 'needing to stay with Seungmins spirit' before we left."
"That's... Weird. He's always been into ghosts and stuff though I guess."
"Drama queen."
"That's not nice Jisung."
"I'm still mad at him for telling me I suck at dancing..."
"Oh shut up, you're always on about that."
And so after fighting like an old married couple, (which they basically were), they began to plan their big road trip.
First stop: Chan (of course)
Second stop: Changbin (prepared to bring a lot of tissues and patience)
Third stop: Jeongin and Felix (roommates now?)
Fourth stop: Hyunjin and Seungmin (Seungmins grave, obviously. He hadn't come back to life magically in the time they'd been away).
They started packing, deciding to leave right away while they still had time.
"How many shirts?"
"5 or 6?"
"I'll bring 12." Jisung decided.
"I ran out of toothpaste."
"We'll buy some more."
"What about the cats?"
"We have neighbours, Minho."
"They're not good enough."
"They have an automatic feeder anyways!"
"Let's take them with us."
"Fine."
And so Soonie Doongie and Dori came along with them.
