Pest and Party Noob were friends! Kind of. Pest constantly ignored Poob, and just hated him overall. Funny thing is, Pest never really leaves Party Noob, despite his apparent hatred for them. Party Noob didn't say anything about it, just kept him company.
Party Noob was just kind of sitting in their dorm room, thinking about nothing in particular, when a thought came to their mind.
Pest never really had physical contact with anyone, due to his closed of nature, or something else entirely, Poob wasn't sure, but it seemed off the way he acted when he had any point of contact with anyone. He would freeze up whenever they just brushed shoulders with them! They didn't really mind anyway, but they decided to finally give him a hug at the very least.
Pest was sitting on a bench outside, minding his business, somewhat bored. (Correction; incredibly bored.) He got up, and his expression turned somewhat annoyed when he saw Party Noob walking toward him. He was about to turn away from him, when Party Noob just hugged him.
Pest didn't know why he was surprised, or why he tensed up, hugs weren't new, especially since it was Party Noob out of everyone, but he didn't get hugs often, if at all. Come to think of it, he doesn't remember the last time he got a hug..
Pests arms were raised uselessly in the air, unsure of what to do. Well, his upper pair of arms. His lower pair of arms carefully held Party Noobs lower back, like they were made of glass, his touch feather light.
Pests felt Party Noobs grip tighten, and something inside him just snapped.
Party Noob wasn't that surprised when Pest suddenly buried his face in their neck and clung to them like a lifeline. It was somewhat expected, given the way Pest has acted, and was acting. Party Noob just held him tighter, tracing little patterns on his back with their finger.
"This is nice." Party Noob hummed.
Pest didn't respond, just held onto Party Noob tighter.
They just kept holding him, rubbing his back and holding him tighter reassuringly, and if they noticed how his shoulders started to shake, or how there was a subtle wetness on their neck, they didn't say anything.
