Work Text:
The skies are clear as he steps out onto his personal balcony, overlooking the vast marble and gold spires of Arlathan. Elgar’nan surveils what has been built in his name with a satisfied smirk, before re-entering his chambers.
There he finds Andruil and Ghilan’nain. The Huntress as usual is pacing, unable to remain still. The Mother of Halla on the other hand is all but vibrating in place to the Allfather's eye. Approaching them, Elgar’nan smiles in indulgence, "Now what has caught your fancy?"
The Huntress growls in tamed glee, while Ghilan’nain answers him, "We have found a weapon to use againstour enemies. Andruil has already used it to great success." His eyebrows raise in surprise, "Oh? And what is this weapon?"
Andruil answers this time, her voice dark, "The Titans dreams." Chuckling darkly, Elgar’nan smiles truly, "Ah yes, the very dreams Fen’harel sundered from the Titans. Very appropriate indeed."
Standing in the Archon's palace, overlooking Minrathous and the Blight choking its streets. Elgar’nan glares down at the city, grief in his heart, "Ghilan’nain, sister, I shall continue our work. They will all bend the knee to me."
Venatori scatter before him as he stalks to the throne room, barked commands sending them into the fray of the siege below. His mind struggles under the strain of commanding the Blight, Elgar'nan tries to hold back the worst of it.
Whispers fill his mind, scattering his thoughts as he grips the throne to sink down onto. He groans as he places his head in his hands, "Its voice grows louder as Rook gets closer to me." Lusacan flies by with the Dread Wolf on his neck.
