Sci-Twi's Journey In LOVE

Summary:

Sci-Twi falls head-over-heels in love with Twilight, who is so incredible to her. Luckily, Twilight feels the same!!!

Notes:

I so badly wanted to write a Princess Twilight Sparkle/Sci-Twi fic, so here it is! I know I'm crazy, but I don't care. HAHAHAAHAA

The only lover she's had was Sunset Shimmer and they parted ways. Brief mention to the Equestria Girls movie- Friendship Games (the third one), where she unleashed the magic. This is technically a college au, but it doesn't get mentioned. I wanted them to be adults, as I feel more comfortable writing adult romance :)

This was inspired by Twilight, Twilight by CossetteM (https://archiveofourown.org/works/72167906)

ALSO, there's a chance that I write more for this ship- since there isn't enough of it!

Work Text:

The moment Sci-Twi first laid eyes on Twilight, her heart skipped a beat. Butterflies flew around in her stomach, a blush dawned her face.

She had heard so much about her, but seeing her with her own eyes was everything. Who knew love could be like this?

She looked Twilight up and down, three times over. Pinched herself to make sure it wasn't a dream.

She fumbled with her words, her gaze on the rough concrete. “Uh… hi?”

Twilight, the other her, looked at her shocked; she nearly tripped as she stepped forward. But Sci-Twi didn't notice– not until she looked into her eyes again.

Then Sci-Twi remembered that her friends were there. She looked around; the only notable expressions coming from a grinning Rainbow and a bittersweet Sunset. Sunset had the kind of gaze, that old lovers did. She was very much in love, yet happy to let her move on.

There was a full minute of silence between them, before Twilight broke it. Finally speaking, “I've heard a lot about your world, the human world and I'd love to learn more!” Stars glimmered in her eyes and Sci-Twi only got redder.

Sci-Twi winked sweetly. “I know a place we can talk,” then she quickly added, hands fidgeting “It has an amazing view ”

Sunset laughed quietly, a smirk dawning her face. But Sci-Twi didn't have time to think about it, as Twilight quickly agreed.

– – –

The duo walked around the huge city, Twilight’s mouth dropping at every little thing. With the help of Sunset, they found their way on top of a huge building, overlooking the city.

Twilight gasped in glee. “It’s so much more breathtaking than I could’ve imagined! Nothing like Equestria. At least not that I’ve seen.” The sun set, and the view became something more. Then she turned to Sci-Twi who was admiring her.

“You know, this view may be stunning, but nothing’s more stunning than you.” Sci-Twi tried a cheesy pick up line, absolutely stunned by the woman before her.

Twilight blushed in turn. She playfully said, “Oh stop it.” She laughed a bit. “You really think so?” She asked seriously.

“Of course-” Sci-Twi answered honestly. She put her arm around Twilight. “I wouldn’t lie to you. I don’t have it in me.” She blushed hard, eyeing Twilight up and down.

“Could we work?” Sci-Twi wondered, in thought. Just one thought was all it took for her heart to skip a beat and her feet to become so much lighter. She wanted it so badly, but was afraid to hope. “What if things went wrong again??”

Sci-Twi shook herself from her thoughts, deciding to focus on something else. “AND, we're here!” She announced, somewhat out of breath.

“You didn't say it would be this far!” Twilight complained, out of breath. “This is so much harder without my wings.”

“You had wings??!” Sci-Twi questioned.

Twilight nodded. “And magic…” She softly added.

Her face scrunched up. Twilight could do magic, without it taking over her. Twilight felt like a train had hit her; her growing anger and desperation screamed to get out. But she pushed it aside, because she couldn’t be jealous of her.

“Anways–” Twilight’s voice broke through. “Can you tell me what your world is like?” She asked, a blush growing in her face.

Sci-Twi began explaining everything, as Twilight listened closely. She brought a huge list of questions that seemed never ending. Her passion was huge, almost as huge as her passion for magic.

But as curious as Twilight was about the human world, Sci-Twi was a thousand times more curious about the pony world. Twilight explained it at length- her eyes sparking with passion when she brought up magic. As she explained it, her eyes got brighter. Jealously stirred in Sci-Twi; Desperation screamed within her- once more.

Sci-Twi scoffed. “You're very lucky, Twilight. It must be nice.” She smiled weakly, letting sadness dawn her eyes.

“Hmm?” Twilight asked softly. “You know you can talk about it, right?”

“It's just…” Sci-Twi paused. “When I tried to use magic– it hurt people. But you, it just comes naturally; no worries. None at all.” She sighed, frustrated. “I can't use it at all!!”

“That must be tough, I can't imagine going through that. I'm so sorry for you…” Twilight comforted her. She leaned into a side hug. “Maybe if you're able to visit my world, you'll get the chance. Its not over, not hopeless– you know?”

Sci-Twi nodded sadly. “I know…” she groaned, disgruntled. “Don't know what I'd do without you… or Sunset really. But mainly you.”

“I feel the same!” Twilight happily agreed.

The sunset finally finished setting, the clear night illuminating the gorgeous stars.

The two laid at each other’s side, Sci-twi’s harm under Twilight's neck. “Isn’t it gorgeous?”

Twilight smiled brightly, “Not as gorgeous as you.” And Sci-Twi laughed sweetly, innocently. She blushed hard, but Twilight was somehow redder.

“I feel at peace around you- there’s just something about you that I can’t explain. Something amazing. More than amazing.” Sci-twi admitted. “We just met, and yet I feel so… Fulfilled. Like something that’s been missing has finally been found. “ She whispered, astonished.

“Something’s been missing for me too... You’ve been missing from my life.” Twilight agreed, happily. “Wanna kiss?”

Sci-Twi nodded, happy and nervous all at once.

The kiss was beautiful and sweet. It was just long enough to imagine their future together. It was a short kiss, but that just made Sci-Twi want Twilight even more.

“You’re delicious,” Sci-Twi flirted. “That was incredible!

“No, you’re incredible!” Twilight argued, a smirk forming. Sci-Twi giggled, while Twilight cackled.

Eventually, they fell asleep in each other’s lap. Life was perfect- she’d been the happiest she ever had. And she knew that nothing in the world was better. Nothing at all.
