Perfect

Summary:

Jealousy is suffocating Kir. Oh Zanka. A stupid mister perfect. He's smarter, stronger, has more potential, just... better than Kir in every way. And he hates him. He hates everything about him, but.. not his jinki. Lovely Assistaff is just perfect. He wants her to himself.

Notes:

The previous fic is in the same setting, Kir is still "dating" Jabber, so you can concider what happens here cheating or they have open relationship. Don't know yet, I'll explore their dynamic later. But there's no need to read part1 before this one
Again, Kir is an OC, but you can see him as your self-insert (especially if you're a losercore trans man haha)
Bad english ahead. Enjoy

She's perfect.

A thought that Kir can't get rid of. Not like he tried to.

Every time his gaze catches sight of that gorgeous lady, he can feel his heart skip a beat.

But oh, if only she actually was a human. That would be perfect, and a lot easier. He either could marry her, or get rejected, and any option would be better than just staring from afar at the wooden stick that makes him lovestruck, held by his teammate he's jealous of so much for a lot of other reasons already...

Zanka is stronger. Smarter. Just better than Kir in every way. Sometimes he was so jealous of him he could feel hatred choking him and making him want to throw up.

Kir wants to think that Zanka doesn't deserve Lovely Assistaff, that she's too good for him. He wants to take her away and believe that he can make her feel better, that he can unlock her full potential. But he isn't stupid.

Unfortunately he knows that she's perfect thanks to Zanka. Not only because there's a piece of his soul in her, the most pure piece. He's taking such good care of her. Kir never saw anyone giving their vital instrument that treatment. Of course, every giver loves their vitals dearly, everyone takes care of their things as they can. But for Zanka... It's a whole ritual. Sometimes he spends his whole day off giving attention to his Lovely, his hands are so gentle with her.

So no, of course he couldn't take her away. Even if he ignored said earlier, he knows she just wouldn't be happy without her man. Feels bitter, but he gets it.

But...
While he can't have her to himself, he can spend some time with her.

And that's surprisingly easy. Zanka trusts his teammates too much if he's leaving his dear Lovely all by herself when he's going downstairs to eat. Not like Kir's complaining, though.

He made sure Zanka walked downstairs, a loud gathering included his voice. Only then Kir went to the room he never visited, but he knew what it looks like, thanks to his jinki Eli. In his head he never addressed his stalkerish behaviour, always choosing to look at it as a study of a strong person. Whatever.

He pushed the door slowly, carefully not to make it creak, then took a step in Zanka's room, immediately laying his gaze in the desired direction. Of course she was standing there, leaning against the bed.

Kir let out a soft and awkward giggle, immediately going red with embarrassment. He shook his head, feeling Eli teasing him. But Kir just hummed, not reacting at his jinki's behaviour. He gently touched his earring, rubbing it with his thumb and index fingers. He knows Eli also was excited to see her.

Kir carefully closed the door, going further into the room. He stood unnaturally straight before Lovely, clearing his throat.
— Hi.. good morning! — He fidgeted his hands, feeling more nervous than ever.

That's just amusing. Not a single splinter sticking out. Carefully polished wood perfect, even though it's really average, you would think it's high quality if you don't know the details.

She really is special.

Kir's always been incredibly attached to givers and their jinki's. He's always collecting information about each object.

He loves his own vital instrument, of course. His earring is very dear to him, and when Eli became a part of his soul, he felt completed. He might be harsh and bratty, but he always does his work perfectly, and Kir swear he can feel Eli purring when he cleans him.

He loves Mankira, too. To be honest, he loved her before he even looked at Jabber. Even if that raider is a crazy guy, Kir can tell that his rings are taken care of every day, that she's loved and cherished, her shine confirms it.

But it's all no match for Lovely. Zanka is obsessed with his jinki more than anyone in this world. And Kir is obsessed with obsessed people. Something like that.

He sat down on the floor before Lovely, learning against the bed. He couldn't dare touch her, because of the respect he has for her, and because he just feels disgusting if he touches a jinki without it's user's permission. He and his stupid principles.

So he just stayed here, admiring Lovely. Her patches are fresh, he knows Zanka's changing them every morning, every night, every time he's coming back from a mission. He feels warm seeing such love.

Kir didn't realise he sat here for almost an hour, mesmerized by Lovely. His earring started buzzing, signalizing that it's time to go. He himself heard approaching footsteps. Ah, so he couldn't leave through the door now, huh.

He just didn't think of anything better than escaping through the window. He waved to Lovely before turning around. He tried to leave as quick as possible, and the hurry made him slip stupidly. He fell in the bushes, but it wasn't really a soft landing.

At least Zanka didn't caught him.

At the dinner, Zanka is staring at Kir's scratch faces to which Kir just forces a smile and says he had a bad training session.
