Work Text:

You had been with Piccolo for years, a relationship that had grown from unlikely friendship to deep love, eventually culminating in marriage. The nights were passionate, filled with an intensity that surprised you both, considering his usual reserved nature.

One particular evening, after you had both fallen asleep, Piccolo woke up with a strange feeling. His body felt different, somehow off. A suspicion began to form in his mind, one that seemed impossible yet increasingly plausible. He quietly slipped out of bed, careful not to wake you.

In the bathroom, Piccolo spit into a cup, collecting a substantial amount of saliva. Then he pulled out one of those pregnancy tests you kept in the cabinet, the kind meant for humans. His hand trembled slightly as he applied the saliva according to the instructions, his heart racing with anticipation and fear.

Minutes passed like hours as he watched the small window of the test. Then it happened—two distinct red stripes appeared. Positive. Piccolo's eyes widened in shock. He was pregnant. A Namekian, carrying a child from a human.

He rushed back to the bedroom, gently shaking you awake.

"You need to see this," he said, his voice filled with a mixture of awe and anxiety.

As you rubbed the sleep from your eyes, he showed you the test. Your first reaction was disbelief, then confusion, and finally overwhelming emotion. "How? But—" you stammered, looking from the test to Piccolo's face.

"I don't know how," he admitted, placing a hand on his stomach. "But it's happening."

Both of you spent the rest of the night talking, nervousness and excitement warring within you.

A baby—your baby, created from love between a human and a Namekian. It was impossible, yet there was the proof.

Nine months passed in a blur of preparation and wonder. Piccolo's pregnancy progressed differently than a human's, his body adapting in ways that amazed and sometimes confused both of you. Your due date coincided with your birthday, which made the celebration even more special.

On the morning of your birthday, Piccolo presented you with a cake decorated in beautiful swirls of purple and green—your favorite colors because they reminded you of him. "Happy birthday," he said with a rare, genuine smile that made your heart melt.

Friends and family gathered to celebrate with you, though they had no idea about the surprise Piccolo was carrying. As the party progressed, Piccolo suddenly winced, placing a hand on his stomach. The pain was unmistakable.

"It's time," he whispered to you, and immediately you rushed everyone out of the house.

The drive to the hospital was a blur of adrenaline and anticipation.

At the hospital, the doctor was utterly confused when you explained the situation.

"A male Namekian pregnancy? I've never heard of such a thing," he muttered, examining Piccolo with professional curiosity mixed with personal bewilderment.

Piccolo scowled as the doctor instructed him to lie back and spread his legs.

"This is humiliating," he grumbled, but complied for the sake of your child.

You held his hand throughout, offering reassurance as medical staff bustled around, clearly unsure of how to handle this unprecedented situation. Just as the doctor was preparing for some kind of unusual delivery method, Piccolo suddenly sat up, his eyes wide.

"Something's coming," he gasped, before beginning to cough uncontrollably.

The doctor rushed to his side, only to stare in amazement as Piccolo coughed up something large and smooth—a pale green egg speckled with purple spots, about the size of a newborn baby.

You both stared at the egg in shock, then at each other, before bursting into laughter that was mixed with tears of joy. The doctor simply shook his head in disbelief, jotting notes on his clipboard.

As you held Piccolo's hand, the egg began to crack. A tiny hand emerged first, followed by a small head. When the shell fully opened, your baby was revealed—a perfect mix of you and Piccolo, with his green-tinted skin but your dark hair and eye color.

Tears streamed down your face as Piccolo gently lifted your child, cradling them against his chest. The baby opened its eyes—the same shade as yours—and let out a soft gurgle, reaching a tiny hand toward your face.

"Our baby," you whispered, touching those tiny fingers.

Piccolo looked from the child to you, his usual stern expression replaced by one of pure joy and love. "Our family," he corrected softly, leaning in to kiss you.

In that moment, surrounded by the sterile hospital room but filled with more love than you could have ever imagined, you knew that despite all the impossibilities and confusion, you were exactly where you were meant to be—with your unusual family, created against all odds.
