Revenge

Summary:

Clark let's Jason off his leash

Work Text:

"Come on J, we don't even know for sure it was him!" Dick tried to placate his brother, only to flinch when met with his glowing green glare as he slammed his hands down on the table.

"Who else, Dick, who the fuck else would have been able to do that?!" Jason snarled, "Not just armor piercing rounds, Dick! That bastard shot my father with an anti-tank round!" Jason gripped the side of the table so hard it cracked before he flipped it over, scattering the papers that had been spread across it. "You idiots are looking in all the wrong places!"

Clark looked up from the wad of papers he had crumpled in his hands long ago, staring blindly at them as if they would bring his husband back. "Jay?" He whispered brokenly, and Jason rushed to his side.

"I'm here, Papa, anything you need, anything at all..." The glow in his eyes dimmed in his concern. Clark had carried what was left of Bruce home so tenderly, almost as if it were their wedding night all over again.

Breaking down when he was faced with the children, this was the first time he had spoken in weeks. Clark gripped Jason's arm, looking up into his son's face with cold determination, "Do it. If you are positive you know who did this to him, do it."

Jason grinned viciously, his eyes blazing green as his leash snapped, Dick screaming in the background for him to stop. Nothing could stop him now, his papa had set him loose to avenge his father for them because he didn't have the strength to. Jason would have the strength for them both.

Roman Sionis had no idea what was coming for him.
