Work Text:
Let the wind lift my leaves up to graze your cheeks fondly.
Lay your heads near me, while my curtains of green shield you from the world.
Gather and tell me your stories, and I'll hum to the sound of your voices.
Bring your lovers and carve their letters against me.
Pour your devotion into their lips under my canopy of green.
Come to me and bury your worries, and I'll grow arms curved to the shape of you.
I will hold you with the smoothness of new branches, and the firmness of eternal love.
My roots are planted in the soil of a home that I will never part from.
To be with you for eternity, is to be in heaven.
I will be here to love you for all that you are, and all that you will be.
