You lied Deku. This entire summer. I thought I found someone who finally fucking got it’
‘But Kacchan…’
‘No I don’t want to fucking hear it nerd. Now I see who the real deku is. Me for trusting you.’ Katsuki’s eyes watered and he quickly stormed away leaving Kiri and Kaminari staring at the sobbing boy before them.
Izuku didn’t mean for it to be like this. He just wanted to fit in this summer and not be the poor boy with a single mum so he works all the time. He truly did love music and want to be one.
Izuku pushed passed Ochako and Iida leaving Monoma smirking after revealing Dekus act to everyone.
Later on
‘ I have to go on i have to show Kacchan who I really am.’
President Mic smirked and looked at Aizawa who shrugged.
‘You can’t be part of this the competition but go rock their socks Mido’
Izuku smirked as he shakily grabbed the mic.
The notes played as he stepped out and froze seeing the crowd. Izuku turned round and faced the other way as he sang the lyrics for the song that has kept Kacchan captivated for weeks. The ones he wrote.
‘I’ve always been the kind of guy who hid my face. So afraid to tell the world what i got to say. But I have this dream right inside of me. I gotta let it show it’s time to let you know. To let you know.’
Izuku built his courage and turned around. Here was the moment.
‘This is real this is me I’m exactly where I’m going to be now. Gonna let the light. Shine on me now I’ve found who I am there’s no way to keep it in. No more hiding who I wanna be this is me.’
The crowd began cheering causing the three judges to shift round. Kamainari and Kirishima elbowing eachother as they saw Katsukis reaction.
Katsuki straightened and whipped round his eyes widened.
Katsuki recognised those lyrics and that face … Deku.
‘Do you know what it’s like to be so in the dark. To dream about a life where your the shining star. And even though it seems like it’s so far away. I have to believe in myself it’s the only way…’
Izuku was shining and his voice permeated the whole venue.
Katsuki was transfixed and nudged Kamianri for a mic.
‘This is real this is me I’m exactly where I’m meant to be now gonna let the light shine on me. Now I’ve found who I am there no way to keep it in no more hiding who I want to be this is me.!’ Izuku opened his eyes and smiled lighting up the stage …then he heard a gruff voice
‘Your the voice I hear inside my head the reason that I’m singing I need to find you I gotta find you. Your the missing piece I need the side inside of me I gotta find you.’
Katsuki was walking and singing toward Izuku a smile lighting up his face and his cheeks red. Cringey be damned he couldn’t contain how great this moment was.
Izuku joined in harmonising with Katsuki
‘I gotta find you. This is real this is me I’m exactly where I’m meant to be now gonna let the light shine on me eeeeee’
Katsuki carried on the chorus as Izuku hit that belter. ‘Now I’ve found who I am there’s no way to hold it in. No more hiding who I want to be this is me’
Katuski held the note as Izuku belted the high note. Before both realised their foreheads touched above the mics and the venue was screaming.
None more than Kiri and Kaminari seeing their Bakubro in love.
Ochako and Iida were woooing the background.
President mic came on and was ranting and raving as Aizawa announced the winners of the contest.
‘Of course it was you. Fucking deku.’ Katuski smirked as he caressed Izuku cheek.
Izuku flushed but leant into the gesture and responded with ‘it’s me Kacchan it’s always been me.’
Izuku leant up and kissed Katuski who murmured in surprise but dropped the mic and grabbed deku into the kiss.
The whole crowd heard the mic drop and squealed even louder.
Katuski and Izuku didn’t notice. Too busy with their own melody of each other.
