Chapter Text
Yuga sits on his bed, hugging his knees against his chest. The room, that's usually 'magnifique' (as he would usually describe it) is looking rather dim with every light inside turned off, or atleast covered as he usually did when all he wanted was to be alone with his thoughts.
The muffled sounds of class 1-A having fun and talking downstairs drifts up to Yuga's room presumably playing a game of sorts. The constant noise overwhelms him with guilt, the guilt of being the 'traitor'. He let's out muffled sobs into his knees which are pulled up to his chest. His body shakes with each quiet sob.
As Yuga is lost in his guilty thoughts, a firm knock echoes through his room, the source being from his door. Yuga quickly wipes his eyes, making sure he didn't look too miserable in a mirror after he flicked his lamp on. Carefully he gets up, looking through the peep hole. He could see that on the other side, the always strict, yet polite class president stands.
The door opens slowly and Yuga looks up at Tenya Iida, keeping it so Tenya cant look into his room. Yuga had never really noticed the slight height difference between the two until now.
"Do you need anything from moi?" Yuga asks Tenya, he was trying to sound like his usual sparkly self. Despite his effort, the sadness in his voice betrays him.
Tenya smiles warmly, but clearly notices the sorrow in Yuga's demeanor as his face shows a mix of confusion and worry. "I was wondering if you were going to join the class with watching a movie?" He asked politely, yet still stern in a way, as per his usual tone.
Yuga was surprised by the invitation, not expecting that being his reason to pay Yuga a visit. People stopped inviting him to watch movies or play games, because he usually declined, he thought he would make it awkward since he never really talked to anyone.
"What movie is it?" Yuga asks, twisting his doorknob absent-mindedly before he looks like he was reminded of something and straightens up, his flamboyant attitude returning.
Tenya adjusts his glasses roboticly, trying to ignore the strange behavior. He responds with, "I believe we'll be watching another hero action movie tonight, but you'll have to see what Mina picked."
"Well if that's the case," Yuga paused for a moment, studying Tenya's hopeful expression. "I suppose I could come down in a minute." He agreed.
Tenya's smile widened ever so slightly, but he keeps his composure. "That's great, would you like to come down with me or do you need a minute?" Tenya internally kicked himself for the awkwardness in that question.
Yuga looked down at himself. He hadn't changed into his nightwear so he presumed it would be fine. "Oui, let's go!"
Iida moved aside as Yuga stepped out of his room and shut the door behind him. The walk to the dorms elevator was quiet, Iida occasionally glancing at Yuga when he thought Yuga wouldn't notice.
Inside the elevator Yuga leaned against the wall while Tenya pressed the 'G' button at the bottom of the panel. After a moment the elevator started to descend.
Tenya stood across from Yuga, watching while the other boy fixed his appearance in the reflections of the walls, which were mirrors all around. Tenya never really understood having to look perfect, but he respected it nonetheless.
"Why did you invite moi tonight?" Yuga couldn't help but ask, wondering why Tenya, of all people wanted him to join everyone. He wouldn't be as surprised if it was Midoriya or Ashido.
Tenya paused for a moment, and Yuga almost missed the red color Tenya's ears were. "Because... it dosent feel right without the whole class there." Tenya replied, his speech slightly faster, like he was trying to come up with something convincing.
Yuga eyed Tenya, slightly suspicious of his unusually nervous behavior. The elevator dinged and the doors slid open.
Yuga stepped out first, walking down the short hall and turning to where there were three couches and other things to sit on in front of a TV. The rest of the class was gathered in various spots across said area. Iida followed behind him, his heavier footsteps catching the attention of Asui.
Asui perks up as she notices the rare appearance of her classmate. "Hey, Aoyama, are you joining us? Ribbit." She inquired, catching the attention of his other
classmates.
There are a few waves and greetings from his peers as he gets himself situated on one of the emptier couches. Tenya sits next to him and Yuga can just tell the other boy is trying to act casual.
After a moment of waiting Mina finally chooses a movie, its an action movie about some made up hero. As the movies opening starts playing, Yuga tries to focus but his mind can't help thinking about the fact he's casually sitting in a room full of people he has indirectly hurt before.
Tenya noticed that Yuga was spaced out, his eyes not anywhere near the TV screen. Tenya debated with himself on whether or not to ask Yuga if he was alright. Ultimately he decided to, convincing himself he was only doing it because he was class president and NOT because he was just watching yuga the whole time.
"Are you feeling alright, Aoyama?" Tenya asked, quieter than usual as to not bring the attention of their classmates from the movie to the pair.
Yuga looked up, having been pulled out of his thoughts. "Ah- oui, apologies. I guess I must have zoned out." Yuga shrugged, his fingers playing with his hair. The shiny blonde strands of his hair coiled around his pointer finger, it looked like silk.
Tenya nodded, almost to himself. He was suspecting there was more to it but deciding not to pry. Tenya's attention returns mostly to the movie but he sneaks glances at Yuga when he thinks he's not looking.
