Athena walked away with a figurine when she asked Metis to play.
The little doll, made of steel, was a robot with its arms stretched to the side. It carried flagpoles in its hands. With each press of its head, flags with different colors shot out from the flag poles. Pressed in succession, it looked like a cheerleader changing alliance with every chant. A canned crowd roared on the last click.
"Mommy, I want to play with you. I don't want a robot...."
Metis picked up the walkie-talkie.
"Aura, come over here, please. I can't deal with Athena right now."
