"hey phoenix if I die out there you get dibs on my secret cook book"
"Don't be joking like that! You'll have me in tears for real Jett"
That was the last thing they spoke about,the last set of sentences they exchanged before Jett went on that vltr,never too return back alive.
Before sage began crystalizing Jamie and sunwoo had this thing going on where they joked about "death".
I mean when else can you joke around with something so serious when theres a person right there in white robes that can just "casually" bring you back to life.
"Hey Phoenix if you die.i call dibs on your jacket"
"Aw don't be like that you know you also want my shoes"
That's a classic or
"Phoenix if I die....viking funeral all the way"
It was always so playful when they did it.but now with sage now slowly turning into a Crystal statue it seemed like only 1 of them got the memo.
Funny how phoenix the guy that can literally come back to life himself,atleast understands that death even if not permanent isn't exactly something that's any less serious.
"Jett you gotta be more careful out there!"
"Yeah?like you aren't the type of guy bum rush the enemy with nothing but a flash and a vandal"
"Jett man's being serious right now,atleast I can revive myself with my run it back,you can't!and we can't rely on sage right now,not when she's literally turning into a walking,talking block of crystal" "Awww are you worried for me pretty boy"
"Yes! Of course I am! What if-"
Jett approaches him and puts a gentle finger on his mouth as she says
"Relax pretty boy you know I can handle myself"
That conversation constantly replays in phoenix's mind as he sits there in the medbay with Jett's lifeless body right there in front of him being preserved.
He sits there in silence as he looks down at the cook book that he's now holding as tears began threatening too fall.
"Gosh darn it Jett"
Is all phoenix can murmur as his left arm clutches the cook book as the right arm rests on the glass that now seperates him and his wind girl.
