smells

Summary:

Catalina has enhanced senses thanks to the whole werewolf thing.
Basically just describing how everyone else smells.
I promise it's cuter than the title and summary make it sound

Work Text:

Ever since she became a werewolf, Catalina has found her senses to be more powerful, even in when she's in human form. While at times that can be overwhelming, it can also be interesting. While some people might memorize the voices of those they care about, Catalina has found she's memorized their scents.
Eugene smells like millions of hair products, skincare products and fancy cologne. All the wonderful extravagance he can afford now he no longer needs to steel to survive.
Rapunzel smells like flowers and warm summer days and bear hugs waiting to happen. The freedom of the outdoors no longer trapped in a tower.
Varian smells like science, chemical experiments and various metallic compounds in a way that - instead of being overpowering - perfectly complimented his lovable nerdy-ness and curious nature. It was a smell that reminded Catalina of sitting together as Varian rambled on about things she didn't fully understand but somehow always made them both laugh.
Lance smells like the herbs and spices they grow together in the garden, homemade dinners and cozy evenings cooking as a family (also with a hint of the aftershave Eugene had bought him). It's the smell of playing games together, of laughter shared and silly moments. But also of comforting hugs after nightmares and the kind of care the girls weren't used to but were grateful for. It was nice having someone looking out for them, instead of always having to look out for themselves.
Kiera smells... well a lot like Catalina, like the forest, of wildness and freeness that still lingers even after they settled down. The smell of every past adventure, every smile, every tear, every moment good or bad they faced it together. She's the first person to turn to and the last person Cat would ever want to see upset. They spent every moment together for as long as either of them could remember. Even though they were different people, at times it felt as though they were one and the same. Her sister was her world and her safe place and wherever they went they would always be home if they had each other.
