Purple sat in security, trying to find the psycho who killed the contest winner. But God damn Mira didn't seem to fucking care much about them since the footage was in black and white and they don't record shit, if anything it felt like they were purposely trying to get them killed, and Purple would believe that. Suddenly they heard the door open, and saw Green enter the room, causing Purple slight annoyance of being distracted from their job, yet decided to not just snap at the unpaid intern.
"What do you want?" Purple asked, turning their chair around to face Green, whose face was still as smiley as ever despite what happened to white "I was just wondering if you can show me where the cleaning supplies were? red put me in charge of cleaning the mess of White's death but Orange never showed me where they are" Green explained, earning a sigh from Purple, of course orange hadn't showed green where the cleaning supplies were
With a sigh, Purple sat up. At this point Purple understood no one cared about everyone's safety besides Blue, swoon, so might as well do something besides boring themselves to death, especially since dying is the possible killer's goal. "Follow me, I'd rather you follow me then you going out on your own to find it. The killer might take you being alone as a chance to strike" Purple said as they started to walk towards the door, signaling green to follow them
Green begrudgingly followed, they were alone with Purple, this was the perfect time to strike, to kill one of the smartest crewmates on the ship. but they had to follow Oranges... plan... ugh... the thought of Orange, the idiot out of the two of them, having a plan. It was doomed to fail, they just knew it. But the basics of the plan were honestly simple, keep Purple distracted while Orange 'recruited' Blue.
to Green, they felt like distracting Purple was easy, it was Oranges job that was stressful, because Blue was Beloved by everyone, even they admit the doctor was attractive, and they knew Orange did too, and that was the problem. But at the moment, all Green could do is pray that Orange didn't mess things up. "So you really think there's a killer on the ship?" Green asked, using their excellent acting to convince Purple their trustworthy
"Of course! Crewmates don't just split in half. besides, White looked like they saw something before they died" Green had to hide a smile, still proud of their work. "I think the cleaning supplies is in storage, I think it's best I stick with you though. If my gut feeling is correct, I won't let someone die on my watch" Purple explained, GOD Green wished that they could just kill this security guard, but they guessed it would be useful to keep them on their good side...
Orange walked through the halls of the Skeld, looking confident. Their plan was full proof, Green distracts Purple, so they didn't see what they were about to do, while Orange infects Blue and recruit him as one of them. they could show Green that they weren't as stupid as they thought they were, and show they weren't too soft to kill anyone, they hid a piece of Ore+ behind their back so hopefully no one would notice it
as Orange walked, they saw lime walk out of the room for once, and not the vents, that was an interesting sight to see, Lime would've left medbay through the vents normally. "you better remember to shred my scans" lime said, trying to sound threatening but their voice lacking its usual edge that would be herd along side them
"As I said, we'll do it together, so I won't be able to unless you're doing it with me" Blue replied, his voice being as smooth and sexy as usual, managing to get a blush from lime who grumbled as they walked away. Orange had to admit it was a cute sight to see the unlikely pair get along so well, they were kind of like an old married couple in a way.
"Oh orange, its good to see you! I just realized I never got you to take a scan"
hearing Blues words made Orange blush. They forgot how nice Blue could be, something that made Orange almost not want to infect the hot doctor, he was just to kind to turn into a murder machine. Blue noticed Oranges nervousness on their face, trying to be extra gentle with them. "Are you ready for your scan?' Blue asked, their voice so kind and so gentle, so unaware of what was about to come
"W-well it was nice to see you too doctor. I um, won't be taking the scan right now though. I am really sorry about this" Orange apologized, why did they have to control a host so kind?! Meanwhile Blue was confused on why Orange was apologizing, and why they didn't want to take the scan when they agreed to the idea of doing this in the first place.
"Orange, I understand if you're apprehensive, but I really do need a scan of every crewmate. I have to solve this mystery so i can protect the ship" Blue explained, walking up and placing a hand on Oranges shoulder, their voice soothing and comforting. it took a minute or two for Blue to notice the Ore+ behind Oranges back, something strangely out of character since Orange was very particular about keeping it in storage
Orange closed the door behind them, looking up with a half saddened look as they spoke. "I know, and that's why i have to do this. i really am sorry about this, doctor. but you're too close to the truth"
"Orange... what are you saying...?"
Suddenly Orange pulled out the Ore+ from behind their back, breaking it open like an egg being prepared to crack to reveal an... living being? an alien inside? the sight making blue back away, but bumped into the cot. "Orange! Stop, back off! Please listen to me, this doesn't seem like a good idea. I don't know what's going through your hand right now, but this isn't your heart"
Blue desperately tried to find something to defend themself with, but all they could find was their clip board that would do absolutely nothing against whatever was happening. "As I said before, I am terribly sorry about this, but i can't let you interfere. You will be joining us" Orange said as tentacles emerged from their back, bringing pure dread on Blues face
"What.... No, no! Stay back! SOMEONE-" blue tried to cry for help, someone like lime who could enter through the vents and save them, but Orange quickly silenced them with a tendril wrapped around their face, cutting off their voice and holding them in place as Orange brings the parasite to them, ignoring their desperate panicked attempts to kick and squirm out of the firm grasp
Lime scurried through the vents of the ship, it had almost been an hour since they took their scans, and blue stopped responding, so the others sent them to check on the doctor. Lime would be lying if they said they weren't scared. The idea of doc being the second victim to this murder, or worse, them damn gremlins, was something they didn't want to accept
But despite how much blood there was, they had to stay calm and check on Blue. Lime peaked their head out of the vent to see blue just standing there lifelessly, causing worry to the engineer. "Blue? are you.... alright...?" Lime asked as they turned blue around to see under his visor was dripping with blood, causing a Lime to jump! "BLUE?! ARE YOU OKAY BIG DAWG?! WHAT HAPPENED?!" lime asked as they grabbed the doctor's shoulders, slightly shaking them.
"Ah... i just cut myself by accident while trying to figure out what was going on, I'm sorry for this mess and locking medbay, I just didn't want everyone to see thing. You can tell the others I'm fine-"
The doctor was cut off by Lime... hugging them tightly? Lime didn't care if there was a camera that was probably watching them, they were just relived Blue was safe and alive. Blue just stood there, very still, not knowing what to do in this situation. After a bit they finally spoke up, seeming confused, "I thought... you didn't like physical contact..." Blue stated, confusingly patting limes back with their floating hands
"I don't. But you're the only one I trust, and i wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I wasn't able to protect you from those gremlins." Lime choked out, their voice full of pure relief. Blue just hugged back, trying to calm the cranky engineer with their voice "well I'm okay, and I know you wouldn't let anything happen to me"
after that, Lime helped Blue clean up medbay, and even agreed to stay with them afterwards, something they never agreed to before for as far as they curently can think back... the alien disguised as the doctor smiled maliciously while lime was busy with wiping the blood off the floor... 'maybe i can get use to this new life' they thought
