DISCLAIMER:
I don’t play Wuthering Waves, nor have much information or lore on the character Denia, this is my own story of her mental pain that she endures during her side quest and boss fight.
Another disclaimer; This is a Rover/Denia romance (sort of)
Denia was walking with her friends to a café that she wanted to try, with Rover joining them. She ordered an Oaknut Honeycake (dish in the game btw) and a triple-scoop ice cream (also a dish somehow). “Hm~! This is tasty!” Denia smiled, eating the ice cream. “That’s really cute of her, lucky you to be dating her~!” Sigrika whispered in Rover’s ear. “Stop! This isn’t a date, it’s a…sort of picnic! I don’t know, something we do to bond with each other?” Rover choked on his burger, blushing. He didn’t think Sigrika would catch on so easily (she is a girl tbf so they know when a guy is turning on his signals). Denia stared at them, not knowing what they were talking about. After eating (and a bit of a argument with Sigrika and Rover), they went to a arcade for some fun time. “…I want to try that one. That looks fun.” She put in the coin and started up Tetris. She started getting rows, with the difficulty becoming more and more harder with every row clear. “Guys look! A pro just came!” A guy yelled, with a crowd gathering around the arcade machine. “She’s already beaten 3rd place!”
Denia kept clearing row after row, while everyone in the arcade kept cheering her on. “Come on Denia, you can beat it!” Sigrika cheered, surprised at Denia’s mastery at the game. As Denia locked in, the crowd became more and more excited because she was about to beat first place. Rover watched from a distance as Denia beat the high score, chuckling (bro got onna the baddest girls ngl).
