Bring Me To Heaven, Would You?

Summary:

The day was bright and the wind blew perfectly, as for what they had planned, as Wifies took some of the heavy foods with him while Saps had gone first to bring the mat with him.

As Wifies began to step back from the car, Saps had just gone off before Wifies, flapping his wings and flying off to the spot they always come to.

Wifies had always loved to see that excitement from his partner.

Where Sapfies go to their fav field to look at the sunset and get some fresh air.

Work Text:

The days are great, perfect weather for them to spend their time at their favorite field together. The sun wasn't down completely yet, it sat nicely at a sixty degree angle from their position, where it was about to set, but it was a perfect time for them to wait for the view for another few hours.

As their car parked at the parking lot, Saps giggled in his seat, he eagerly tries to unbuckle his seatbelt with a few failing try, Wifies tried to assist but Saps had already got the belt off himself, he immediately jumps out of the car, closing the door behind him, stretching his back once he’s fully outside of the car and letting his wings open completely to feel the afternoon breeze on his feathers.

Wifies can’t help but to chuckle at that, knowing how the angel acted once they got to a place like this, he then began to do the same and get out of the car, he admit the wind was great at this hour, the sunlight hit just warmly on his face, it did made him squint from the sudden burst of sunlight in his eyes.

He can hear Saps laughing at him from the other side of the car, arms draped on the car hood, at this moment and spot he can cherish at how he would never get bored at the blinding smile of the angel, of how those twin moles on each side of his mouth corners, it can be a smiley face of its own if he covers Saps eyes away, and yet why would he even do that, when the most intriguing thing he could ever wish for is to see those golden irises shine under the sunlight, even at this golden hour his eyes still shine brighter.

Wifies can’t help but get mesmerized at the man before him, completely forgetting that the view they’re after was not him at all.

Faintly he can hear a laugh from the man he’s stared at, his face ever so ravishing under the afternoon light.

“Gosh Wifies… I know I’m gorgeous, but were we here for the sunset, remember?”

At the angel’s tease, Wifies face had begun to warm from embarrassment, he pulled himself back from the car.

“Well- yeah… uh.” He tried to find a word to get back at him, but nothing was coming in his mind as his flustered state made it difficult to think right, so he opted to rush at the backseat door of the car, to take the food they brought to this picnic.

Saps laughed at his fluster even further, he followed along to the car trunk where they stored their picnic mat, once Saps got the thing in hand, he immediately closed the trunk door with a loud thud.

The sudden sprint Saps did right in front of him almost did startle him, if not for the fact that after falling to the hill descent Saps had gone back up from the ground, wings flapping freely as he soars up to the sky.

Wifies stare at the sight of the angel flying through the endless field, flying up high and then down, twirling in the sky as he playfully hovers to their favorite spot.

Chuckling to himself, Wifies then took the rest of their things in the car before he began to make his way towards where Saps had landed far at the end of the field.

It was a long walk for sure, but he was glad at the mid way walk Saps flew back to him, helping him with the items in hand he had brought. Saps did those quick maneuvers back and forth with so much ease, so much that now the items in Wifies hands are much less to carry.

But then Saps flew back at him, hovering beside him with a playful smile.

“Wifieesss, can I have the car keys?”

Staring at the angel flying beside him, Wifies raises an eyebrow at him from how suspicious he’s sounding right now, not even stopping his stroll on the desired path on the field.

“Okay! But why?” He asked, equally playful to Saps' own sing-song tone.

Hearing that Saps just shrugged and giggled at him.

“It’s a surprise! C'mon fies!!” Saps pleaded, even selling the act by holding both hands together in a pleading manner, while still hovering beside Wifies.

Wifies just rolls his eyes, then gives the keys to Saps. He took it joyfully, then he just darted back towards the parking lot, leaving Wifies to walk more towards his destination.

~

Sitting down at the mat he let out a deep sigh, letting the tiredness fade as he sat. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath of the air surrounding him, hands holding back all of his body weight. It was so nice to feel the fresh wind hitting his face.

Saps had set their spot not far from the cliff, where it ends directly at the sea, and right behind him were a big tree, so big it did cover most of their picnic space, though it’s rather nice to choose such a place.

As he stared at the distance, where the sun had now started to fall down the sky, Saps flew back to their spot, he’d sure make a show by circling the tree twice before landing right in front of Wifies, again giving him a show to end it with a bow.

Wifies can’t help but to laugh at the angel’s antics, as his figure quite nicely glows from the light behind him. And then he noticed something in Saps hand, it looked like some sort of paper bag, it wasn’t that big to begin with but not so small either, he can’t tell what it was just by its look.

As he pondered on what it could be, Saps giggled at him.

“Someone is excited!!" Saps cheered, pointing down towards his back.

He immediately grabs his tail with one of his hands, but it seems that he won’t be able to tame it that easily.

Saps continues to laugh as he jumps down to Wifies’ side, setting down the bag beside him, far from Wifies' reach. He then proceeds to reach for food.

He pulled out some pieces of sandwich, which caught Wifies by the smell, eyes fixated at the food Saps holding, he no longer contained his tail.

“You want these bad boys?” Saps offered, teasingly.

At the offer Wifies almost snatches the food in Saps hand, when he remembers about manners.

“Oh my, I would be glad.” He responded in an equal manner toward Saps.

Both giggled at each other, now focusing on their own foods to enjoy. Basking in the silence they decided to watch the view ahead, sun still up in the sky. Neither of them say anything as they eat their food.

Wifies wondered to his partner beside him, he didn’t seem that thrilled to run to the fields immediately after arriving, usually he was the one to jump from his seat and immediately take flight off to the sky, usually he finished his food quicker to do so.

But now, he seems distracted by something, more so by the surprise he’d been saying. He eyed the bag from the angels behind, he couldn't see it fully since it was covered by Saps wings.

But it seems that Saps had noticed his gesture without Wifies even realizing, Saps had suddenly stretched his wings open, blocking the view of the item completely behind him. Which did take Wifies by the surprise, he pouted at Saps, ears flat against his head and tail tucked behind him.

At this Saps laughed at him, trying to hold his sandwich in hand, so it wouldn’t fall from his hold.

“Just finish your sandwich, I’ll show you after this.” Saps mumbled, stuffing half eaten sandwich back to his mouth.

Wifies can’t hold his pout for long, he just sighed and continued his half eaten sandwich.

It took them at least 15 minutes to finish their sandwich, after cleaning up some mess they made, Wifies gaze immediately back at the now visible bag behind Saps, while the angel on the other hand were now busy collecting the trash they left behind.

Wifies didn’t try anything funny at this point, just patiently waiting for Saps to finish what he’s doing, and he might have been guessing what could’ve been in there.

It didn’t take long for Saps to sit back down right where he was besides Wifies, his smile radiant against the sunlight, this almost distracted Wifies from the now mysterious bag in Saps hand.

He lightened up at the item in his hand, again made Saps cheerfully laugh at him.

“Okay! This is it, but I need you to do one thing first.” Saps exclaimed, his gaze locked against his pretty golden irises…

He was quiet for a moment, but it didn’t take him long to respond.

“Okay, what is it?” He questioned, tilting his head to his left, eyes gazing down at the bag in Saps’ hand.

He didn’t stare for long, as Saps then began to reach his hand up to his eyes, pulling it down covering his eyes.

“Close your eyes.”

Wifies’ did as he said, he can briefly hear a small giggle from Saps, might be from how excited he was by how loud his tail was on his back.

As Saps’ hand left his face, he could hear him reaching into the bag itself, well he can guess that he had pulled out something from it, before he began to speak again.

"Well this might sound funny, but hear me out!" Saps exclaimed, as he began to put something on Wifies head.

It wrapped tightly around his face, it felt like some sort of mask, yet once he got the feel of it he realized it was a VR headset.

Wifies held Saps hand, while the person who just put it laughed at him.

"I know you like to stare at me while flying... and since you're just too heavy to carry, I decide this might be worth a shot!!" Saps exclaims excitedly, Wifies can feel the burst of wind coming from his wings flapping.

Wifies can't help his own excitement as his tail began to swish rapidly behind him, as Saps continued to prep the vr on his head, tighting the thing on his head securely before he then turned it on.

The first thing he sees in the screen is Saps face from his down side view, then Saps took the camera up to his face, smiling directly at him, this slight gesture from the angel made Wifies wags his tail harder, it did hit the basket a bit behind him a few times.

Saps of course laughed at his enthusiasm as his gaze turned to face his wagging tail, looking back at the camera he shows those playful smirk of his, letting out the tip of his tongue out, he then without warning reached for his tail behind him, making Wifies immediately yelped back from Saps reach.

“Hey- ack! Don’t!!” Wifies cackled, trying to hide his tail away from the angel reaching hand.

Saps backed away instantly, laughing his ass off at Wifies pouting face, well he can’t see clearly the person right in front of him, but the camera dropped just right beside him, where he can see enough of the angel laughing loudly at him. While keeping the pout on his face, his tail didn’t sync with his face, it kept on trying to wag on his grasp, but Wifies managed to hold it tight in his fist.

“Okay, I know you’re embarrassed, but please don’t hurt your tail like that.” As much as Saps likes to tease him, he also worries if Wifies’ does this often, Saps might not be able to see those pretty tail wags again…

Wifies’ can see his own body now, with the VR on while his hand aggressively holding tight to his tail, he can see how Saps’ hand reached out to hold his tight grasp, asking him to let go, which he did reluctantly.

Once he did, the camera turned back at the angel’s face, again with that pretty smile of his.

He wanted to hold his face so badly.

But then again, he was surprised by Saps suddenly looking up from the camera, leaning to him and leaving a small peck on his lip.

Yes, he’s overheating by now. And yes the angel quite literally enjoyed his suffering.

And to his misery Saps didn’t even stop to let him calm down, rather he immediately pulled the camera right to his face again.

Without a word he started to get up and go for the run, turning the camera around as he went.

Wifies can see clearly from Saps' point of view, the wind bursting loudly around him, feet thumping loudly on the grass, but shortly after running on the field, his feet were gone as the view of the sea below was visible, the winds were absolutely loud in the live video.

Not long after the light takes, Saps gradually flaps his wings so he’s up high in the sky.

While hovering in the air, Saps point the camera forward, where the sun had begun to set, it would already touched the horizon if it were seen from his position, but from up there where Saparata had flies above, it still hovering high above the horizon, he can see clearly everything from this view…

Gosh, is this how Saps always see things up there…? The orange of the sky blended nicely towards the dark blue surrounding it, as the light began to fade from view, the water at the sea reflecting the light nicely down below, and the clouds near the camera visions, it did occasionally hide the view, but Saps quickly moved around it.

He felt like tearing up in his seat, hands holding on to his legs tightly, tail wagged relentlessly behind him.

“Well how was it Mr. Director?” Saps taunted, still holding the camera down at the setting sun below.

Wifies goes quiet for a moment, looking at the view Saps had given him, he had been grateful of what his partner had given him today, he tries to think of something.

Well one thing came into Wifies mind.

“Actually… Can you turn the camera?”

The request he made confused Saps for a moment.

“What are you planning now man?” He snorted, but did as he said.

Once Saparata had turned the camera to face him, Wifies are immediately hit with the familiar face, ever as beautiful even with the dimmed light of the sunset.

“Now my views are complete!” Wifies exclaimed in delight, he instinctively smirked at the view of Saps’ scrunched face slowly redden in each second, his golden eyes widened at the camera, the smile in Saps face clearly came from his flustered state.

“I knew it, you bastard!” Saps howled at the camera, he can see the shaking vision from Saps quivering, trying to hold himself together while still trying to turn the camera back at the distance, sun now already setting in the horizon.

But the clumsy movement from Saps made the camera slip off his hand, letting it fall down from the high altitude.

Wifies can hear Saps' loud “Woah!” from up there, in panic he pulls the vr off his head, at the distance he can see Saps now diving down towards the falling camera.

“Saps!” He choked, holding his breath as he watched as the angel plummeted to the seas below.

Saps reached for the camera mid way, he managed to catch it in time, but the speed made him unbalance midway.

Before his body nearly hit the sea’s surface, he widened his wings to slow down his fall, then beating his wings over and over again to gain more leverage, Saparata managed to avoid the water all together, though the cold of the water sprinkled a bit to his face in the process.

With a swift motion he turned back up to reach the cliff edge, where Wifies had waited for Saps to land.

Saps slowed down for Wifies to catch him into a hug. Both can feel each other's heartbeat as they embrace one another.

Then Saps began to hit Wifies back. “Bro!” He shouted, still holding into the embrace, face buried deep in Wifies's shirt.

“I was in the sky and you decided to do that! You asshole!!” Saps continued to shout at him, but all of his words were muffled into Wifies's shirt.

Wifies can’t help but to giggle at him, his arms wrapping around Saps gently, patting his wings as he does so.

None of them spoke for a while, letting the warmth of their embrace calm them down.

“Going back to the car?” Wifies asked, which was immediately answered by the other.

“Yeah… let’s go back.”
