Summary:

Dean doesn’t like it when she catches the attention of someone else.

Work Text:

Dean walked around the pool table, knocking a ball into the corner pocket with ease. Rufus groaned. He had been winning until that hit. Dean had lost his interest in the game though. His mind was on the two unknown hunters across the room.
They’d come in a little while ago and it wasn’t long before they’d zeroed in on her. She sat against the corner of the couch, lazily flipping through the pages of a book. Her fingers twisting in the ends of her hair as she lost herself in her thoughts. She was still waiting on Jo, who was late. He recognized the look of lust on the hunter’s face as he leaned and said something to the other guy. They’d both laughed, eyes on her. Something hot twisted in the pit of his stomach. They’d come in after them. They didn’t know that they had their sights on his girl but they were about to learn. Dean hit the next ball across the surface into the side pocket. One more and the game was his. Rufus cursed, throwing a twenty on the table.
Dean downed the rest of his beer, heading towards her. He knew she would recognize his footsteps. She always did.
He wasn’t sure if he was proving a point to the two idiots who thought they had a chance or if he just wanted to feel her in his hands because every time he touched her, it felt right. Either way, the moment his fingers slipped into her hair, she melted against his touch like she’d been craving it just as much.
She lifted her chin without a hint of hesitation, giving him more room to slide his other hand across her throat. God, she was so responsive to him, he could’ve groaned out loud right here in front of everyone. He squeezed the sides of her neck firmly, guiding her head backwards. She arched her back to rest her head fully on the back of the couch, looking up at him with those wide, trusting eyes he loved so much. Hunters temporarily forgotten, he lost himself in her. Dean leaned down, brushing his lips against her ear, sending a shiver down her spine. He playfully licked her lips before capturing her mouth in a slow upside down kiss.
“You want another drink?” He asked when he pulled back slightly. Her cheeks were tinged pink. She grinned, watching his lips as she nodded. He pressed another kiss to her lips before reluctantly releasing her from his hold.
“Fellas.” He nodded his head towards the hunters as he made his way to the bar.
“You’re ridiculous.” Ellen half-laughed, half scolded as she handed him two more beers. “You might as well brand that girl with your name.” He smirked as they watched the hunters gather their stuff, now knowing Dean Winchester had his eyes on them, making a beeline for the door.
“I would if she would let me.” He said with a crooked grin. “Save me a whole lotta trouble.”
Truthfully, he wanted the whole world to know she was his. He stared at her. Didn’t matter who saw. She had returned to her book, her face still flushed pink. Her fingertips lingered over her bottom lip. Ellen knocked on the bar, gaining his attention again.
   “Just keep trying.” She laughed.
